My site 18+ adult content http://theheavenlypleasures.com/

My website is not a blog and is an online store with over 31,000 items. There are some huge competitors and I see that they are very similar to my site also with no blogs how are they ranking so well? I know they are paying for advertising but they are usually very high on the list even after advertising.

Is the only way to promote this type of site through social media? I made a blog that I am going to use as a referrer to my site that is going to be review based. I am seeing decent traffic based on early efforts and actually made $50 profits yesterday. and am getting 1-2 guests who create an account each day. So things are moving along. I just need advice on where to go from here since I feel like a lot of things I can not use to help with my site because of its genre and formatting.

Beautiful site. Definitly worj on marketing. Maybe some sexy forums. Maybe pay for some adsense. How about some PG13 how to videos?

Yes I was thinking of getting ahold of well known gurus who do that type of thing on youtube and offering free products in exchange for reviews. But the person I was thinking of has like 600,000 subscribers so I am thinking they will want way more then just free product. haha I am going to rethink my strategy but I think that is a great idea.

Maybe try it out with a fivrr actress. I am sure there is plenty of help here on video marketing. Videos rank pretty good. Set up a youtube channel.

I'm not sure if this would work for you, but one of favorite online stores has a blog they do as well on their page. Which is actually how I found the store, because the blog was ranked high. Maybe you could add a blog page that maybe does reviews or even some great articles on romantic nights or great date activities, like a lead up to the products. I don't know if that helps but I have seen a few stores with a blog as well.

I have a very similar site and I had the same question. My site allows me to add more pages with content if I choose to do so but it seems that you are better off making a separate site that funnels people into your site to shop. I have some custom pages on my site but with how competitive the market is it makes more sense to target specific products or um "genres" of toys and clothing. This is so that you can compete with the big boys without trying to rank for a general term. Pretend like your shop is amazon and so you want to make a site that can promote your shop.

I would focus on an area to promote first and then people can just buy other stuff if they make it there. FYI, you might want to make a note of the fact that you are linking an adult site, I know some people might not be too thrilled to be surprised by that. You should def. put a disclaimer or something up there =). Feel free to PM me if you want to compare notes.

Oh yeah,...I didn't think to mention it since this isn't the first time I have mentioned my site and the previous times I have. I actually have been marketing a specific product and it has worked very well about 80% of my orders have been for that specific product. and almost all of my traffic has come from the same source where I was marketing that product.

I have an amazon store also. But I really love this one since I make all profits, actually process the orders, can change the price, offer discounts, and choose what I want it too look like. my amazon site is boring and was a stupid thing to promote since its for wedding dresses and no one wants to buy wedding dresses from online! haha but I am making small amounts of money off adsense on it so its not a waste.

Thanks for the input.

Then i would stick with that tactic. As time goes on you can switch up products or start promoting a new one on a certain time table. Just make a plan and stick it with since you have so many options =). I wouldnt waste any energy worrying about not ranking against the big sites for vague terms, because in general you wont be able to catch up to them. Keep it up =)

Maybe it would help to add a blog to it that links to your products. Sorry I coan't be more helpful. I don't have any experience in that area.
