But it expires only after 11 Month. Today is the 18 October and my domain will be renewed on the 17. September. That is 11 month not 12. Why is that???

Bea,
Thank you for asking this, I did not even pay any attention
when I purchased my domains. But if the renewal is set
up prior to the expiration date then you would not have to
worry about losing time on having your website shut down :)
This is only a guess on my part because I am new to
purchasing domains for myself.

Who did register with? Since this is a regulated activity, you have to actually get 12 months. If you have any concerns, contact your registrar’s support. Registrars prevent transfers in the last month, so setting renew date before that is actually doing you a favor. If you want to transfer your domain, you need to do it before the last 30 days.

I’ve been trapped into renewing another year with a registrar because I tried to transfer in the last 30 days. I’d rather have the reminder before it’s too late to do anything about it.

I register it here on WA

Ok, that makes it easy.
There are two possibilities. Either it’s exactly as I said and is a convenience so you have an opportunity to transfer before the final 30 days when it will be locked here, or there’s a bug in their software. Just because the payment renews at 11 months doesn’t mean you don’t get 12 months of domain usage.

If you have any additional concerns about this, contact SiteSupport here at WA. Or perhaps PM Kyle.

Thank you. I see it a bit different, not so much from the side that I could loose the domain. That will probably not happen because it is automated, after one year it takes you money and you will get another year you domain. A Year has 12 month. If the renew is after 11 month and renew means there take your money after 11 month not after 12 months than it is not correct. There did not say we will give you a reminder on 18 September, it says renew means take your money for another years...11 month?
Sorry I sound like a mad woman hahaha. What ever I will talk to the SiteSupport about it.

I'm sure SiteSupport or Kyle can explain why you are getting the payment renewal at 11 months. I have a couple of theories, but they might not be correct. I use a different registrar.

Good luck in finding out where that missing month went!

I keep you updated!! :)
Thank you!

I am interested in the answer!

That is how all domain registrars work. They charge 11 months on the first year so that if your payment fails it doesn't expire on you and so that you don't lose it. The 2nd year, it will bill 12 full months from the date.
This is protective measure to safeguard you from losing your domain.

Thank you Kyle for this answer. Anyway it is a bit unclear. A Year is 12 month not 11month. If somebody tells you "for you first year" anybody would assume that it must be 12 month because last time I looked a year had 12 month. There should this make more clear what a Year means for them. Other wise we all could say a first year is 4 month or maybe 5 or 9 or ..you get the picture :)
Thanks again!

I read that as they bill you 1 month early so if the payment fails you don’t lose it, You still get 12 months. 11 months plus 1 month grace period.
The billing is at 11 in the first year., at 12 in each additional year. Maybe I’m reading it wrong.
Anyhow, I’m glad you got an answer.

There is a grace period of a month

What does that mean? That there first take the money a month later?

The simple answer is that you have not added them to your menu. To do so take the following steps:

1) Go to Appearance and find Menus

2) Name your Menu

3) Put a check in the boxes of the pages you want to show in the menu (left side of page) and select "Add to Menu"

4) The pages will now show under Menu Structure on the right and you can simply drag them into the order you would like them to appear.

5) Select "Save Menu
