Struggling - Time To Regroup, Refocus
I have found myself in a quandary. When I walk by my computer, I quickly have an excuse in my mind to keep walking by. It wasn't like that when I came back to WA in late March with enthusiasm on getting my internet business off the ground.
What has happened?
I could think long and hard about finding an excuses. It's not going to get me anywhere by taking more time thinking about what happened. I have to admit it to myself and move on to get back into being productive and get positive results. I am complacent and made excuses to keep me in that negative frame of mind.

The list of tasks that I committed to with my internet business gets increasingly longer. I have not been focused while writing content. Disciplined responses to comments have gone the wayside. The thought of "Oh, I will catch up on that task the next time I get around it" has made its way on many of my to-do and reminder lists.
My social media schedule campaign has not given me the results I wanted to achieve. I feel like my shortcomings have increased, affecting the way that I look at my business. Second guessing myself, wondering if I missed something during my training. Did I skip a step, misinterpreted a training video, forgot to perform a task?
The excuses stop now. The time to act is now. What do I have to do to get back on track?
It's time to REGROUP.
There were goals I wrote at the time I signed up with WA, during the initial certification courses. I have gone back, today, and read them over again, quite a few times. This action reminded me of my mindset that got me off onto a running start. It created a spark- a burst of energy. By reviewing my goals, it allowed me to reset my thought processes I had when I initially wrote them down. A reboot, if you will.
I realized that by writing down my goals, if can refer to it if I lost my way. Or when I feel discouraged, or if I lose hope due to increased mistakes or bad decision making. My goals have set me straight. Now, what should I do next?
It's time to REFOCUS.
The training resources here within our WA community are an excellent way of getting an internet business started. It has been proven by many successful entrepreneurs, especially me when I created my websites.
I will go back to square one. As I go through the certification courses once again, emphasizing on parts of the training that I need refreshing, it will allow me to make sure that no stone is left unturned. This will reinforce the knowledge I received during my original training.
I will reach out to the hard working WA community members and ask for help and guidance. Review the websites and gather tips and techniques not only to see what has worked for some people, but also integrate proven methods into my website framework and foundation.
Why I decided to write this blog
The reason why I decided to discuss my dilemma and problems to my fellow WA members was to let others know, who are also in the same situation I am, that they are not alone. I could have let my ego get the best of me, keep these issues covered and go along my way as if everything was "just fine".
I won't fool myself by not admitting it. I need help- so the way that I helped other members with their questions and problems, I will rely on the same supportive WA community to help me get back on track.
The only way to solve problems are to face it, admit it then overcome the issues. And with our helpful WA community, I will overcome this episode.
Please share with me your thoughts, ideas and comments below. I welcome all input and I thank you, my supportive WA 'Ohana (family) for your help and guidance while I get myself back on track.

We all have been there especially when it comes to creating.
We first have to image something before we create it.
You are acting as a creator and not a victim which is amazing!
Here is a list of videos that I think will help they are some of my favorites.

Thank you Brandon for your thoughts and the video links. I will have a chance to view them on Sunday and reply with my thoughts later that day :)
Hey Wayne,
It;s so easy to find myself in your situation brother....
And if everybody would be honest with themselves, I think just about all of us will admit to "having been there"
But you know what ? Just the mere fact that you had the guts to face it square on and decided to do something about it, is testimony of your grit and determination to make this thing work, no matter what.
I admire that in you.
Thanks for sharing with us. You have the assurance from everybody that you are on the right path.
Peace.

Thank you Theuns for your kind, supportive words. I have to be real to myself and to my peers. It is not fair for those who only see my successes and share them with the WA community. I am human- I have struggles and difficulties like everyone else.
I want to make it known that it can happen to anyone, at any time. If a person who reads my blog, understand and relates with what I said and it helps them see a potential problem in their own business activities to steer clear from the pitfall, then this post has served its purpose- to help my fellow WA peers.
Thanks again Theuns, for shedding light on the right path. Now, onward to our Successes, shall we?
A wonderful blog Wayne and mosy of us go through this don't we. Not just in WA but other areas of our lives. Glad to hear you've found a way to get yourself back on track. My method is to set myself intentions each morning then work through till they're done.I can procrastinate but won't go to bed till the tasks are done!
Thank you for your comments and healthy insight Kathy. I have to commit to changes in order to reach and exceed my goals. For myself and my family. I can not and will not fail. Thank you for your support Kathy. Onto Success!
Prioritise, prioritise and prioritise once (only) more. Then do it. Don't make anymore tasks for yourself yet. And group the tasks you have as some may be similar and accomplished at the same time. Take a deep breath, and as "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' (by Douglas Adams) says DON'T PANIC.
Yes, I've been there too Wayne. And I think you're doing the right thing. All the information you need is here and it's just a matter of finding what you need and applying it exactly.
We'll get there :)
Scott
Thank you for your supportive words Scott. Its therapeutic to share my thoughts in this forum, don't you think so? ;) Yes, we'll get there, my friend!
Definitely therapeutic - in fact, I think I need to get some thoughts out in a post. You've inspired me... :)

I have been through everything you mentioned, and I too fell into the habit of making excuses. I lost two potentially lucrative online jobs because of my dread of the computer!
Now I'm back, and instead of working for someone else I am working for myself with Wealthy Affiliate; so why did I already take a week off out of two? FEAR! What if I lost the knack of writing; what if I don't get the traffic I need? Then I found this Blog by Kathy331: Do you hate Twitter Wait til you see the first link to Narrow IO: Join for free and it will help you get Twitter Traffic. The second link is to over 100 free webmaster tools and was written by Loes. These great tools will help you get the traffic you desire, just pick a couple and try them out.
Thank you Faye. I appreciate your candid thoughts on your experiences. It is uplifting to know that other people have similar experiences- I am not alone.
I will review the blog posts from both Kathy and Loes.. Again thank you Faye and best wishes.
Everyone can find excuses to "walk" by their computer in avoidance. This is called Chronic Procrastination.
What is it called when you "run" past your computer hoping that it won't see you !
Healthy Avoidance ???
Don't feel bad, it's only temporary, it'll catch up with you eventually.
Very informative post. Your strategy is good. You identified the problem, developed a plan - and get back on track to reach your goals. You might not realize it - by writing this post you already did overcome the episode.
Thank you Aurora. Its time for me to be accountable for my actions. Then and only then, I will be able to work on an action plan and move on. With your help and guidance, along with my WA family, I will get back on track.

After going thru the two deaths in my family i find myself in an unmotivated attitude not only in WA but in all things I do and its a hard thing to get over. Thanks for shareing and allowing others to see that we are not the only person that has down times.
Thanks
Thank you Ron for your comment. I am profoundly sorry for your loss, my friend. I have been there myself and understand that in due time your business will be back into focus- time to mourn and heal.
I wanted to put my thoughts in my blog and if someone can relate to it and make at lease one positive change, then the blog has served its purpose. And it can happen to anyone, regardless of their successes, high visibility & ranking or past experiences. Its about accepting what has happened, how to correct it then move on being wiser and savvy for when the next situation.
Best wishes for you Ron!
