May I Have A Little Focus, Please?

As I create content for my websites, I have the pleasure of revisiting past business opportunities that interested me and undertook. Great memories and humbling experiences came back into my mind.

It has, however, sparked some interest in attempting to restart a couple of these opportunities. In my mind, my focus of my internet business is in question.

This has posed a question that I would like to share with my fellow WA members.

Have you thought of a past home based business opportunity that you would like to start up again?

Although I have these thoughts in mind, it will not deter me from my current goals of my internet business with the training and guidance here in WA.

With that being said, I believe that these thoughts will only enhance the content that I post on my websites. It will give credibility to my visitors through our interactions with comments and replies.

I would like to hear your story. Do you have similar thoughts? How did you approach this matter? How did you come with your own conclusion, or decision? Let us learn by sharing your thoughts below.

I have been self employed for the last 13 years Wayne, with my Electrical Distributors that I run, have had a few hairy moments but the success of the company is largely in my hands , I thought I would give WA a bash back in February and although I am making slow progress I suppose you could call that an opportunity that I return to and so the success of my website is down to me and my input so the one common denominator is me and you know what Wayne I like that I enjoy the fact that I have created something no matter how small.

Thank you for your comment Gary. I always look upon any positives that come along the way a good thing. As long as its going at a pace you are comfortable with, all the better.

Yes, your internet presence is something unique that you created. Keep on striving toward your goals!

Best wishes for you Gary!

Excellent thoughts, Wayne. I'm new to WA and building my first website to promote WA. My second site will be for an endeavor I have been watching for a couple months now. My training here at WA has given me insight as how to approach this new action. It's exciting to know the potential is there. My only thing is controlling my enthusiasm and taking it one step at a time. I can picture the Shaolin Monk from the old series 'Kung Fu" saying to me, "Grasshopper, the journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step". : )
Best to Community here at WA.

Thank you for your comment Gus. Very cool correlation your brought up. People can relate to that- I did. Best wishes for you!

I like the topic Wayne. I did briefly revisit some of my past endeavors while choosing my current niche. I pretty much brushed them aside as failures. Now with the added knowledge from WA, I think I will go back again. However , that will only be when my current site is running a great deal more smoothly. Focus, focus, focus!

Thank you for your comment Bill. I hear you, my friend. My sentiments, exactly.

I know exactly what you mean! I am going to start my t shirt press up again and see what happens with a website!

Thank you for your comment Christa! So I am not alone in my method of thinking?

I am creating the website for this past business opportunity, keeping in mind the mindset and training principles available here in WA. Not only will I be reinforcing what I have learned, it will also allow me to make sure I have completed every step along with way.

"Something is gonna bite" is one of my trains of thought.

Best wishes Christa!

Yes something will bite! Especially now with all your new knowledge!
Best wishes to you as well Wayne! :)

You've got the brain a-chugging, Wayne.

Thanks for the comment Geoff & Jane. Yes it is, I'm going to harness my energy so that I can make the best of this matter.

Ya. I have a couple of thoughts as I have been thinking on this of late. As I have just joined W.A. this year, it is my primary focus. From here I plan to become immersed in online securities trading, my true passion. But as I was driving in my car one day I asked myself; What happens if, for some reason, the internet goes dark from terrorists, Fed intervention,or Gods will whatever, " What happens to my cash flow?" Answer " It stops". So thinking back when all this computer stuff didn't exist I was thinking of things I was going to do to earn extra cash from my home. These included herb farming, building and selling handmade outdoor furniture,( have you seen the prices for some of this stuff ) and landscaping to name a few. As I acquire more free time, I plan to engage in one or more of the aforementioned activities as it acts as insurance and,I enjoy them. Happy Mothers Day all!

Thank you Brad for your comments. You have really good incites with your matters. It's always good to have a backup in case unexpected events happen.

Even the businesses that I operated years ago were able to be adapted in real world applications. They would be marketed differently, rather than having the internet be the main marketing avenue. Advertisements, publications and local radio and TV were the methods I used to promote my past businesses.

The brainstorming has started... again. (laughs) Best wishes for you Brad!

If I would have had the information I have learned at WA, I can think of several projects I was involved with in the past would have had better conclusions. It is hard not to revisit some of these projects, however I am trying to concentrate on the projects I have in front of me now.

The more I learn here, the more I can see what I can do in the future. That can also be a distraction, for now I know I have to stay focused on current projects to make sure they are done right. But you do bring up a good point and I may revisit some of my old opportunities and see if I can do it right this time

Thank you for the comments Donald. We have the same thought processes.

It's comforting that we are focused on the task in hand. Although open to the possibility of adapting what we have learned and have the urge to integrate it into past business models to see if it works.

See if you will, business is like fishing. I would bring several fishing poles. Different lures, a selection of bait. Cast off all lines and see which one bites first.

Although this optimistic approach may seem reasonable, the biggest pitfall is loss of focus for the growth of business. I will not let that happen. My goals that I have set here are firmly established.

Yet, the phrase "easier said than done" resonates here. Do you hear that echo? Stay tuned...

My past experiences of listening and seeing some great speakers that were brought in to speak. Some great words never leave us.

Thank you for your comment Brian!

Never created anything before WA, but what you said gave me more ideas for my existing sites as it is now. Thank you for sharing your thoughts Wayne. Blessings......

Thank you for your comments Shirley. You're welcome- I wish I had the clarity and tenacity I have about business opportunity today than I had several years ago. I'll stay on track with my internet marketing websites at this time. Best wishes Shirley!
