Best commercial I have seen in a while!
There is a new Coinbase commercial which I first saw last night while watching the NBA In-season tournament last night. In my main day job, I work in the home industry by selling modular homes. This commercial talks about what I have been saying and worried about for the last year at least. Most Americans (single) cannot afford to purchase a home right now or even qualify for a new mortgage. At the end of this commercial, the voice says "get a bunch of friends and rent a house." She didn't say "buy a new house." Is home ownership dead in America. Will we have to have roommates in our 30s and 40s while raising our kids in order to be able to afford to live in America in the 2030s? I have kids and I want to tell them that if they work hard and get a good education, that will get them a good job where they can afford to buy a new home. Will that be the case for them though? Will they have to get a side hustle just to live under shelter? This commercial doesn't say how Coinbase will help with this problem, and I'm not sold on investing in Crypto in order to "break the cycle" as they suggest. But I do applaud Coinbase for bringing this issue to the masses when nobody I know talks about how big of a problem it is now. Maybe in working with Wealthy Affiliate, we can come up with good websites that offer affiliate links to great resources that can help people purchase an affordable home. Maybe you found this post to be a little random, but I think it's important to benchmark off of the good content creators that are out there in order to best help people find the best products and services for them. I think if you can do that successfully, then the money will naturally follow.
Thanks for reading!

I took the YouTube link off. I wasn't a promoting a product. I posted the link so people could see what I was talking about. Again, I have removed the link.

Hi Stephen. I have not hitherto seen the type of chaos in the world that I see now. I just read about one of the billionaires investing 500 million in single-family homes. Now, this guy is not a philanthropist, so what will the cost of those homes be? Topsy turvy times are a-comin', I fear. In the meantime, I'll keep blogging. My ex owns a home and I own a home, so my son is going to own a home or two when we kick the proverbial buckets.

Yes, if you can afford homeownership, do it! It's one of the only ways to earn equity (so is starting your own business by the way). But it's getting harder and harder for ordinary people to do that. And those investors you mentioned are trying to take the homeownership option away from ordinary people and keep it for themselves. Why? Because renters bringing in monthly income for them, whereas if they sell the land or the property, they only make that income one time.
