Hello every body as some of you may know I have been very unwell for a long time with PTSD

I have been working hard with my sponsor in AA to talk though all my past traumas that have caused what is called complex PTSD

After talking twice a week for over 1 year I am finally starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. I have no words to describe the pain I have felt due to the traumas of my past but have come a long way emotionally and mentally and am I starting to feel better

There has been a side effect of my PTSD and due to the massive inner rage and stress I have felt, I have something swollen in my inner ear which causes pain and constant ringing in my left ear as well as deafness.

I am seeing an ENT specialist and have to have some scans to find out what is going on as they can not see anything with the normal methods of looking in the ear. They think it is a swollen blood vessell

Some worrying developments

Unfortunately due to me having a lot of blood tests I had Severn more yesterday, they have found a protein in my blood that should not be there and it may be a type of blood cancer, so I have to have more tests including a bone marrow test and another MRI scan on my bone structure so its pretty scary when your told this stuff

However I have not given up and have been working on a new website using thrive themes and its coming along really well although very slowly due to my health issues as I get very tired very quicky.

Congrats Barry on your continued sobriety!

I'm going to bring up the elephant in the room...

It's about your website link.

Unless there have been changes that I'm not aware of, we are not to post our website link in our WA blog posts.

More of an FYI.

Enjoy the AA Christmas party, I so miss those AA activities.

Rudy

I will check out your site! Thanks for sharing that.
I also want to give you props for your long recovery in AA! I am recovering myself and am in Al-Anon which you know is for family members who are affected by someone else’s drinking. I no longer live with the active alcoholic, but I work the program and feel my life has been changing for the better. In January, I will have been practicing the principles of Al-Anon for 12 years. It has changed my life and given me more serenity and peace. I know with your long experience in AA, you have the principle of “one day at a time” and I wish for you the peace you can muster with this new information. Sending positive thoughts for you.

Wish you nothing but the best.

I'm so sorry to hear about your health struggles, Barry. That must be very difficult to be going through. It takes a lot of strength to come out and admit all that! Congratulations on your continued sobriety...that is huge accomplishment. Wishing you the best on your tests. Merry Christmas to you :-)

Very well done my friend. I know how hard it is because my son in law was an alcoholic and he couldn't cope. He took his own life when he was 28 years old. just over 2 years ago.
I greatly admire people who can admit they have a problem and get the help that is available.
PS. Love the website. I wish I had your skills. Unfortunately, tech is not my thing. :-)

Thank you for your reply, sadly there are so many people that die due to alcoholism a friend of mine in AA lost her son only 3 weeks ago he died at thirty after an alcoholic fit

I love WA as its a bit like AA which has supported me for all this time the 12 step program is very powerful and it has got me through everything

With reference the website believe it or not its not that difficult to build a website like mine with thrive themes its all drag and drop that's why I use it
Not really much tech involved and no coding at all

Thrive themes also has tones of training like WA so I love thrive themes

Wishing you the best with your business if you ever need any help with wordpress let me know

Barry

very much appreciated Barry Thank You.
Have a good rest of your day :-)
