Putting Ads and banners on a separate page

As some may remember, A couple months ago I wrote about taking all the ad widgets off the content pages and putting them on a page of their own. This was an experiment in making the content page cleaner and more enjoyable for the visitor to read.
Well, I've found it not to be working as I had hoped. I checked in the PEEK website to get a live feedback and the result was; 'I won't look at that. I have no desire to see it.'
I have put the widgets and in-content ads back on the main pages and posts. I discovered (as you probably already knew), if you want your ads read, you have to put them right in front of the viewer. They won't make any effort to support your site by going to a particular page just to see advertising. I think, for me, this was a worthwhile test of human nature. Now I know firsthand what I had suspected all along.
Thanks for your patience. I hope this was helpful to somebody besides me.
