I live in New Zealand. My city is Auckland. I was brought up in Chinatown in Greys Avenue. We had to move to Hobson street. I have always lived in a shop. cannot imagine living in a house? This may come. Funny how money comes in a surge. I used to have to struggle with second hand cars, but a new one I have has serviced me well for 10 years. Perhaps things are starting to age now.
The shop I am in was started by chinese immigrants from The south of China where most people there live. Many dialects were spoken, but now, Cantonese, made up from many dialects there, has been well accepted.
China is changing rapidly, it changed minute by minute when I ever visited there many years ago. also, Mandarin, from up North and through government mandate has taken over as what is spoken now. Many also are learning English.
