Website Help
I've created a Making Money Website while going through Bootcamp and have reached a point of wishing I someone with experience to go through my site, check my plugins, SEOs, and all the many moving pieces that make a website work properly. I've done everything I know, but more keeps coming. I'm trying to backup to Dropbox, put in Mega descriptions, improve everything to point I'm going nowhere and am wondering if I'm not making some serious mistakes.
Some of the trainings are outdated due to the ever-changing status of the internet.
I know i need more content and I need to market the website, but I'm stuck--for now. Like I said, it would be nice to have some hands-on help.
Anyone else out there feel this way?

Hi Barbara. Well I tried the website grader and the first time I did it without any help from them I got an 87%. Says it is really good. Recommended resizing some of my pictures to make them smaller, which I did and now it's reading 82%. One thing I am lacking is security. There are sites out there that are free but that site is suggesting purchasing an https (the s meaning it is secure from hackers retrieving any information from your customers). I might do that in the future but, heck, I don't even have a paypal account set up yet. But it's a great site and very interesting about their comments and recommendations. Did you try it and if so how'd it come out?
I didn't try it yet, because I've decided to start a different website which has me excited. But there is a training here that says unless you take money, you don't need an https site. So I wouldn't worry with that too much right now. Good luck!
Hi Barbara, I don't have the answer. But Lori3030 has offered to help people with there sites. Maybe she can help you. Vera
Definitely feel that way too. I tried to find WA members in my area but apparently there are none, or at least none that identified themselves. I hear your frustration. I hope you find the answers you need.
Hi Barbara,
I think you are doing well. The link that Rosie gave you is a good one to check out. I don't know if you need to get involved with drop box. It takes time to let your site get credibility but you are asking the right questions and are on the right track. https://website.grader.com/
That is a website that will grade your site and give you some SEO tips.

Marketing your site will come in due time, first you need to build your content and audience. You might private message some of the Ambassadors here if you want someone to 'go in through the back door' of your site....have you read Marion's various blogs on backing up your site? Full Backup With a Plugin Support does it periodically as well.
I'm trying to download to Dropbox, but it's taking forever. I finally stopped it and started over. I'll see how well it does this time. I think I'm just trying to focus on too many things at once!
It sounds like you might be....don't try to overwhelm yourself, keep in mind that we are always tweaking and improving our sites. Concentrate on your content as laid out in training. The audience comes in time. You are doing great so far, give yourself the credit you deserve... :)
I feel that way a lot because I am new to internet marketing and customizing websites. I've been so used to automated apps and just using free themes, but now I'd like to customize everything :) It takes time, but we have all the help we can get here
