The 8th Wonder of the World....well according to Albert Einstein that is.

Albert Einstein called compounding the eight wonder of the world. I'm not talking about pharmaceutical compounding, you know preparing personalized medications for a patient. It can also mean to make something worse, intensify the aspects of.

The compounding that Albert Einstein, and I am referring to is the "the ability of an asset to generate earnings,which are then reinvested in order to generate their own earnings. So basically generating earnings from previous earnings.

You might be asking yourself what does this have to do with what we are doing here. Go ahead ask yourself, I'll wait.

Great question!

The compounding that we are doing here at Wealthy Affiliate is in regards to our efforts and our content. If you are anything like me then everyday you are doing something to with regards to your efforts here.

Whether it is learning about a new plugin, getting motivation, watching a training video, attending a wabinar, the efforts that we put forth to be successful at this endeavor is monumental. Some of us might be calling it "mental" (any 80's grads here?)

My point is this, and I will impress you with the power of compounding in a moment, are efforts here aren't an isolated event. No one thing we do will be the deciding factor or event of our success. It will be a function of compounding, effort being generated from previous effort until one day we will stand at the pinnacle of our success. At this point I congratulate you and ask you to press on, this is just one peak in our mountain range of life and their will be many peaks to climb.

Ready to be impressed by compounding?

If I were to ask you to take a guess as to how much money you could have in just 30 days by doubling a penny each day, how much do you think you would have?

I am not asking you to double it and add it to the previous day just double it.

So here we go

.01, .02, .04, .08, .16, .32, .64, $1.28, $2.56, Day 10 a whopping $5.12

$10.24, 20.48, 40.96, 81.92, 163.84, 327.68, 655.36, 1310.72, 2621.44 and

Day 20 is $5242.88..................... fast forward to......................to

Day 30 $5,368,709.12

Remember this is not a cumulative total but just the doubling of 1 penny for 30 days.

So my challenge to you all is to do a little bit everyday to allow for your efforts to compound. It doesn't happen over night. Just look at what took place from Day 20 to Day 30 the growth was over $5,363,466.24

Maybe you are in the early days of your efforts, somewhere between Day 1 and Day Day 10. Persevere, continue to add content, research, write, engage, ask questions, learn, teach and over time your "penny" will double too.
