I Pledge My Allegiance
Before I get started, I just hope that I am doing this right, that this blog is okay. If I do something wrong within this post, please let me know so I can either change it, or take it down altogether. Anyway, I appreciate any feedback on this, both on the actual poem or content, and whether or not this is okay here on WA. Anyway, here goes.
I Pledge My Allegiance
I Pledge Allegiance,
But where does that allegiance lie
To The Flag,
Still waving high,
Hand to my heart,
Respect those brave enough to die
Of The United States Of America,
United I don't comply,
The means come together,
Something we the people have to try...

You can find the rest of the poem and content on that link. This poem came from the heart, came from my mind, and has a lot to do with the current state of the United States. A lot of things need to change, and it all starts with a little effort. We can make our society, our community, our country better with just a little bit of effort.
Players around the NFL, and kids at high school and college football games have started to take a knee during the National Anthem. They have created a conversation, I just hope we can focus on the reason they took the knee.
I hope that this kind of post is okay, and I hope that the words of the poem can ignite a step in the right direction. If you have time, I encourage you to read this post and let me know what you think.

Awesome post bud. If people don't feel it 100% in their hearts that this is best country on Earth, they shouldn't stand during the Anthem, it's that simple.
That's a beautiful poem. From my understanding of posts within the WA community, I think the main thing to remember is that whatever you post is respectful. There's absolutely NO way, people from all over the world, are going to agree with EVERYTHING you say. As long as you're being authentic and respectful, you should be fine.
Keep 'em coming!

As this is more related to the current problem in America, I wouldn't expect for it to really reach other people the same way it might here in America. I also know that we all we have a difference of opinion, which is what makes us all great and unique. The world would be boring if we all thought the exact same thing. No matter what I do, and what I write, I truly hope to be respectful with everything I write.

That's poem is very good, but I do want to point out that on the line that have treatment is not ales fair. Should be not always I think your phone or whatever you used did the mistake, but other than that its a great poem.
Points of view need to be expressed no matter how controversial. It called a conversation that's how we lean and grow and better able to serve and help one another.
I agree, we can't make a difference without a conversation. Change starts with a voice!

Most posts that would be "controversial" and upsetting on other social media don't get heat here. In fact most member here appreciate your viewpoints even if they disagree.
As long as you are abiding by the blog rules, you're fine.
Great poem!
