I was wondering about the rules on what is and is not allowed for a blog post here on WA. If I make a post on my website, am I allowed to put a link up on a blog here on WA to

As you can see, you are getting mixed responses to your question, but really we have been told not to do what you are proposing and on two levels.

1. Getting traffic for your site through posting at WA - at times Carson has chimed in very strongly against this, but the thing is, as you can see from your responses here, people are still doing it! So that shows that WA are not keeping on top of this issue and it is a little unfair for the people sticking to the rules as the others just admitted to the obvious of getting great traffic!

2. On another level, anything political or religious etc etc isn't supposed to be on here either, even though some people still do that too.

That article Loes posted says the word 'spam' but covers a lot more.

Thank you, this may be the most helpful. I appreciate this greatly. In general I know it's not good to talk about politics and religion, I'm a bartender, so those are two big areas that you don't discuss. I'd assume that to a community like WA!
As I'm getting through training a little more, I'm starting to remember some of the teachings, but there is a lot that is still a little fuzzy. I guess I should just be patient and really go through the training again, and then start to really start things up. I've been doing a training a day, some work on the website, and networking each day, so now I'm going to just focus on the training more so I can remember these things, and to get more knowledge on everything!
Thank you again, I really appreciate this!

your question was great as it raised some interesting points and showed people are very confused and basically doing a wide variety of things whatever the rules may be.

And I personally always love the interesting articles people post in WA that are just their own varied niches or personalities, follow your heart ;)

Takes quite a man to admit when he is wrong. Congrats, you are going to do well!

Hi Ryan,
I Know I've done what you're describing, written a post on WA about a subject and linked to my own blog where I've gone into more detail.

I don't see a problem with this personally. There may be some situations where this may be frowned upon (if your site post heavily promotes an MLM ?).

It's also worth noting that content posted on WA tends to rank very well (WA is well respected in Google), so posting on WA makes very good sense to attract traffic.

You are also encouraged to share your site content to get feedback and advice from the WA community.

So I'd go for it if I were you.

Richard.

I wrote a poem that carries some weight to it, I really just want to make sure people see it, read it, and like and share if they want to. It has to deal with so much of the police brutality going on, trying to rise up and make a difference, or trying to get people to come together to make a difference. The poem is called I pledge my allegiance, and in it I reworked the pledge of allegiance, and added to it the events going on in America today. Athletes taking a knee during our national anthem, the continued problem in our country with police brutality, the oppression and so much more.
Anyway, I want to just talk about the poem a little, and put the link the see the poem in its entirety. The only affiliate link would be on my website, and would not be in the blog post written, I just want to make sure that is not breaking any rules.

-Ryan

Sounds like a great post...

go for it.

Richard

Of course, you can I don't see why not we all had written posts and shared it here if people want to check it out on your blog they can..
as long as there are no affiliate links

As long as there are no affiliate links within the blog right? If there is one on my website that is okay? Is that considered click bait, even though my purpose is solely to get people to read a certain post? I just have a blog post that I think people should see on my website. The only link I would share is that for the post, and I only put one affiliate link on there, and I would not put that link on the blog within the WA community, just the link to go to my post...

-Ryan

That's right Ryan, we are all here to share and help each other, so we do put our post here and say can you visit please and leave a comment or share..

As per Loes, you cannot promote anything on WA Blog. Anything to do with your niche should be handled external to WA. There is a channel to get traffic and input from WA members through website feedback and comments. This you have to earn by giving feedback to others in exchange for credits.

This is all slowly coming back to me. I appreciate the help very much, thank you very much!

here are the full rules

Thank you very much, I appreciate this.

Thanks for sharing this Loes.

I remember reading this when I 1st started, but it's always good to review.

I'm a bit confused about #7:

"No adding affiliate links to any blog, training, discussion or private message"

I see this regularly, when someone adds a link for a specific training. Am I not understanding this correctly?

Veronica

WA training and blogs can be shared to help and answer the questions or to make the blog complete. You can not share irrelevant WA training on your blogs for your own gain. You can not share any outside affiliate link to sell products or to join other communities.

It is possible you find very old blogs where people not really understood this and there are links shared. Also, my own blogs can have forbidden links. When I detect those myself, I do remove those links :)

OK, I appreciate you clarifying that Loes. Thanks!

I am currently looking for a laptop to do my business on. My wife is also looking for a laptop, so this will be very helpful for both of us. I kind of like the laptops that can

Can't go wrong with Apple products but like others have said they are pricey. My philosophy is that you get what you pay for.

I was thinking something Mac for my wife, she does more with apple products anyway, I've been more Samsung driven for awhile now but have heard good things about Asus. For myself I'm looking for something more affordable, I don't need anything spectacular, but I want something that is still good quality.

Love my MacBook Pro!
... pricey though

Dell or Asus are very good for what you are looking for.

The Asus Transformer books offer the best value for money. Here is an example of one that I feel would match your stated criterior: Asus 64GB eMMC T100 Series Transformer Book. You can also check out this Canon Camcorder/Camera combo: Canon 32GB VIXIA HF R52 Full HD Camcorder. The camera only has a 2.07MP camera but the pictures are good enough to post on a website.

Best laptop I have found for this type of business is anything by Samsung

Asus transformer book? in different measures and prices

MacBook Pro, 13-inch with Retina display

My website is geared towards sports and fitness, more sport specific is baseball. My ultimate goal is training on and off the field. I want to teach the younger generation the r

Looks like TJ has you covered

You have a list of topics. Start with each of them. Use affiliate links to equipment and books and such and to important baseball sites. Use video and images to show what you mean during the training. Include information for coaches too. Stick to baseball and not other sports. Good Luck! John

Thank you. I have a lot of information about how to do certain things. I just want to make the next step, make my website more available for instruction. I also want to know the best route in setting up payment options in order to start instructing and collecting payment for my services.
Along the lines of videos showing what I am talking about, I've tried before to put videos up, and never had success. Not sure what i am doing wrong. Extra help with that would be great. I've tried going step by step with it, but I must be doing something incorrectly, because I can never get the video to actually show.
