An Open Letter to the WA Beginners and Aspirants
Hi,
I am Jezza. I just started here last November 29, 2015 and took advantage of the Black Friday deal and went to premium. I certainly know how you feel right now. If you are a currently free member, you might feel overwhelm and thinking whether you can do it or not. If you just decided to go to premium, you are hungry for success online and ready to go to the next level but still might feel worries over and fret things out whether you will make it or not.
So, I have made a lists of my advise to YOU, my realizations and accomplishments so far and I would like to share those with you. For those of you who are asking whether WA is worth a shot or not then let me share my results with you, my 1 1/2 month report so far.
I may not have made it too much but my learning is endless and opportunities keep on coming. Read on...
1. Having my own website gained trust and credibility among my clients.
I am a dietician by profession but joining WA makes me learn how to build a website, choosing a niche, using keywords effectively and understanding google and yahoo rankings and indexing that make a lot more easier for me to gain more clients. So whatever your profession is, whatever interests you may have, as long as you have the passion in you, and you write coming from your heart, I am sure you will go a long way.
2. Realization that opportunities are endless and the money will follow.
My first Adsense dollar was only $.04 but I'd like to think it this way - even though how small the amount is you will reap and harvest largely after - maybe not only in adsense or other affiliate programs you may have but you can get other sources through other things you do. I got like over $200 now in my Upwork account because the clients choose to trust me with the knowledge I have. Writing content requires also an understanding of the choice of keywords and stuff.
A fitness app also just hired me as their Certified Dietitian Online Coach and the deal is every chat message from user will pay me $.25 on top of my $300 monthly payment. :) I also have another client that saw my website and hired me as moderator in a parenting side paying me $4 per hour. These are great opportunities having you own website running and keeping it active and writing good content.
3. WA has given us a lot of resources and it is up to you on how you use that and take advantage of the benefits.
Learning, support from the community and you can easily find people here of different specializations. I had the chance to interact with them and learn from them. You can ask anything you want and stay on track with the developments and latest trends online. I have told you that I am a dietician. Why do I keep on saying that? Because when I got here, I only knew the MS office applications, that's it! But learning website development, SEO, google index, understanding analytics etc. were far too many things for a person like me who graduated from a health allied course. But the choice has always been mine. And I believe I had no regrets in taking a bigger leap in my life.
4. It requires time, patience and support coming from your loved ones to keep it going.
My husband is my no. 1 fan, my 5 month old baby is my inspiration. My niche is baby, nutrition and parenting by the way. I have friends who are very supportive and avid readers of my site. So yeah, it doesn't really happen over night. It requires never ending support and an anchor person who will lift you up for sure whenever you feel like you are losing it. I already have 20 posts on my site and I am happy with it. I am sticking to 2-3 posts a week. I always read and read a lot even if it doesn't interest me sometimes. :) But yeah. That's how it goes. There is no magic scheme. I suggest you follow the training and stay motivated everyday.
If you ask me is it hard managing all that tasks altogether? YES. Plus I have a 5-month old baby remember? Well, it is managing time and setting your priorities right. You have to manage your site and other extra online jobs but those are part of your goals right. No pain, no gain.
Well, I hope I enlightened you a little and in some ways. I know I am just sort of a newbie like you but those are my accomplishments so far. I may not get referrals right now or make money from my other affiliate links but I am using what I learn here and I will say it again opportunities are endless here, so, stay.
Keep a positive attitude and everything will unfold to you. The money is just everywhere, it is up to you on how you find it. You are here at WA for that very reason so take advantage of everything, build your own brand, and the money will follow. I do hope you find yours and when you do I look forward to hear your success post also. :)

Very inspiring article, Jezza... I am a newbie (started this Jan, 2016) and taking the lessons slowly (mostly 3 days/wk available to focus); especially I'm not yet much familiar with internet, blogging, and other social media. I'm still learning the basics and with the overwhelming lessons, tutorials, and hands-on application of learnt subjects or doing numerous tasks, I keep looking at the positive side. It's good that you shared this post, It boosted my motivation to move on. Plus, it's good to know you are Pinay...salamat at nandyan ka, may mahihingan ako ng tulong, hehehe. Anyway, you are doing an excellent job, keep it up and keep inspiring others!

You are certainly taking the bull by the horns with this online marketing! Congrats for that and i am sure that you will experience a lot more as you go along.
This was a combination of a commitment and consistent effort on your part, Your signing up for the annual plan, and at the Black Friday price shows that you know a deal when you see one and are not afraid to take action (two requirements for ANY successful business).
In the short time here you have already used your skills that you came here with in combination with online opportunities to leverage the two into real income.
This is the key for all WA members I think.
Regarding my successes to date, I have been increasing my online income slowly but steadily over the past 9 months, and the income level is set to spike by a huge amount through several projects that are either rolliong out now or soon will...
As you did, I used my offline experiences in the business world, along with contacts in that world, to develop our own online sales line of products, we have eCourses in the final stage of preparation, and are actively pursuing local (and not local) offline business agreements for video, marketing, and mobile app services.
This is a breakout year (compared to the last year), but I am even more excited for the long term potential of where this will go. The potential is just huge, and a lot more exciting than offline business...Maybe because it is something new (for me)?
I could go on with some other things that are in the early planning stages, but I think it gives you and your readers of the blog post an idea of what is happening for me, and much of this is a DIRECTresult of my joining Wealthy Affiliate and the excellent base of setting up a proper online marketing business that is provided here.

Thanks for sharing. You are also an inspiration to many here. See... that's what I am talking about and that's what we want to relay to them right? The learnings here can be so useful outside as we really have to find ways not only in your website but using it well to open other online opportunities just like you and I did.
