Is it possible to do affiliate marketing without a website?
Recently; someone asked me if it is possible to do affiliate marketing without a website.
Yes, you can, but I don't recommend it.
Here is why....
Affiliate marketing traditionally relies on websites to host content, track links, and convert visitors into paying customers.
Some gurus sell the idea of affiliate marketing without a website, which can be particularly appealing for beginners, those exploring new niches, or marketers looking to minimize their upfront investment.
Like investing in a domain name or web hosting, is such a huge investment, huh? Guru garbage.
Affiliate marketing without a website relies on social media and your email list (main asset).
Social media builds relationships.
The chance you will try to sell at any opportunity you get is likely more to happen.
Too often, I see people promote their affiliate product(s) to people they don't even know.
Well, it is like asking a girl you see for the first time to marry you. How great are the odds she will say yes to you?
At best, she will raise an eyebrow and at worst, she just tells you to piss off.
And leave you behind wondering why...
Social media posts often have shorter visibility compared to SEO-optimized website content.
Being subject to platform rules, algorithm changes, and potential account suspensions create vulnerability.
Less control over presentation and user experience can make establishing authority harder.
While I believe this is not a viable way to do affiliate marketing , there are some success stories but hard to find on the internet.
Success stories with a website are not.
All the best,
Luc

Yeah, you can...it is increasingly difficult as MOST affiliate programs and companies require you to have a website. A website is not just about ranking, it is the home base for your brand, your content, your ability to promote and sell, and the longevity of your business.
Good post here Luc! :)

My first experience before websites was using Facebook to sell. Was taught to join groups, send friend requests, and private messages. Needless to say, it didn’t work for me. I’m sure on some level people can make it work. I do think it’s good for building an audience and hopefully sending them to my site.
