My Progress on the Journey So Far

Here I stand on the precipice of completing my Level 2 Certification. I look back over the last 5 weeks and I am amazed at how far I have come both professionally and personally!

When I started this journey, I had recently pulled myself out of bed, whish is where I was spending my days. After 5 or 6 years of going from this specialist to that, I finally decided there was not going ot be an answer or a treatment...not that I hadn't told myself that all along. I think the difference was that I finally BELIEVED it.

It was hard to admit that the profession in which I had worked and devoted my life to was not going to give me an answer that I found satisfactory. The truth is that I have several autoimmune disorders (conditions under which your body attacks itself), along with chronic migraine. I had to find a way to deal with that.

I decided that, since I could no longer work in my chosen profession or in the public arena for that matter, I decided to try working from home. My journey in the first few days lead me to a place where as son as you completed on level of training, just one lesson, they required you to fork over more money that I couldn't afford.

So, when I came across the link to Wealthy Affiliate, I spent several hours researching it. All I was finding were glowing reviews, save for one by someone convinced that you should be making outrageous amounts of money from day one with no out of pocket. I went right for the Premium Membership and started my training that next morning.

I now have my own niche website - FreedomFromMigraine.com (what else?). I am ranked in Google and I have traffic to my site, that from the comments, I know isn't just from WA members or friends.. I've received great feedback on that website both online and here at WA that I have taken to heart and integrated into my site. I'm even planning more articles based on the feedback.

I have connected with a lot of the really wonderful people here at WA and have really started to build on those connections. As I've done so, I have watched my rank here grow from in the 10,00's to breaking 200 today by bounding up from 214 to 142!

Not all of my accomplishments are professional. I have been able to be up and engaged with my family. I even went to my son's first homecoming football game and going to a local fair the next day, just wo weekends ago! being up and about 2 days in a row would have been unheard of before. I find that the more I am up and about, the better I feel; the better I feel about myself.

I'm even starting to build this out to social networking. I have opened a Google= account, shared my website publicly on my Facebook and Twitter accounts and I plan on opening a business account on Facebook and Twitter over the weekend.

My plans for the next 3 month include finishing the initial training and starting on Bootcamp; to research and write at least one article for my niche website each week, to work on the layout and design of my website through menus; to make it into the Top 12 and make Ambassador; and to begin to monetize my site.

In six months I plan not only to continue on with those goals, but to maintain a Top 12 ranking; start writing content for a second website along with developing a site map; to be adding to that website beyond the initial content, weekly and to be making money.

I am truly enjoying this work and I love how it has been affecting my personal health and family life. I hope to be here for a long time to come. Before I go, though, I want to thank each and every person who have helped me along the way, or whom I've helped along the way. Most of all though, I want to thank Kyle and Carson. Without you two having the vision to create WA, I'm certain I'd be right back there in that bed, wallowing in pain and self pity.
