How I’m Building a Content System That Strengthens My Website Long‑Term

This is not a long post, just covering what is important to the topic.

After sharing how I repurpose my WA blogs into website content, I wanted to follow up with the next step, how I’m structuring everything into pillar posts and cluster posts to build real topical authority.

This is the part that finally made content creation feel organised instead of random. Once I understood this structure, everything clicked.

What a Pillar Post Actually Is

A pillar post is a big, foundational article that covers a broad topic in depth. It’s the “hub” of your content.

Examples:

• Motivation vs Discipline
• Affiliate Marketing for Beginners
• How to Stay Consistent Online

A pillar post answers the main questions people have about a topic. It’s normally longer and more detailed than standard post, and acts as the anchor for everything else.

What Cluster Posts Are

Cluster posts are smaller, focused articles that support the pillar. They cover subtopics that relate to the main theme.

Examples:

• How to Build Discipline Daily
• Why Motivation Fades
• How to Avoid Shiny Object Syndrome
• Tiny Habits That Improve Consistency

Each cluster links back to the pillar, and the pillar links to the clusters.

This creates a content network that Google loves.

My Simple Pillar and Cluster Structure

Here’s the exact structure I’m using right now:

1. Choose a broad topic (Example: Motivation vs Discipline)
2. Write one big pillar post. This becomes the main guide.
3. Use Jaaxy to find related keywords. These become your cluster posts.
4. Create 3–6 cluster articles. Each one covers a smaller part of the topic.
5. Internal Link everything together: Pillar to clusters; clusters to pillar
6. Repeat for the next pillar. As you build this over time, it builds topical authority.

I currently have three pillar posts planned for the main topic, and each one has several clusters. Once they’re done, I’ll have around 15 full articles or more, that are all connected to each other via internal links.
