We all know of how many scams there are out there and it will always continue

So I know many members here would know of such scams especially the PayPal ones.

This post is more intended for the newbies or some who have not received such scams and to be aware of what they may look like and what to look out for.

Always be aware in this case PayPal will not send you such messages so always be on the lookout for these fake ones as some people have and will get caught out believing the email is for real.

First of all should you get such an email that is already a first sign especially if they are telling you there is something wrong with your account and you need to click below to fix it. They are just hoping you will do just that and log in and they would then have your passwords to do the work in taking your money out of there.

Also in the image below you can look at the email address it came from and you can see it is not directly from PayPal just some phony fly by night email address which they often use.

Also be aware of their spelling and writing technique which you would normally find as in this one look at the wording

Your Account Need To Update Infos

What business writes like that?

The other one below

Click the button below and follow the steps simply?

Again not the best wording to use.

I left out their email address so here it is as obviously it is not from PayPal.

service <contact@onealphagroup.com>

Ready to put this into action?

Start your free journey today — no credit card required.

So alway be careful and never ever click any buttons or links they ask you ior even open them to check it out further. Instead forward the email directly to PayPal.

Depending on where you are just log into your PayPal account click the help button at the top and you will see the wording " How do I report potential Fraud to PayPal" click that and you will get an email address relating to your country you are associated with.

In my case being in Australia mine is as below. I have copied the wording fromPayPal about what to do both before and after you send to PayPal.

Fake PayPal emails or fake websitesIf you received what looks like a scam PayPal email, or you've come across a phishing PayPal website, please report it to us by forwarding the original email or URL to phishing@paypal.com.au. Once you’ve forwarded the email to us, delete it from your inbox and don't click on any links in the email

Once you send the email PayPal will send you an email back with the following details

I have taken my full email address out of both images.

So always take care when receiving such emails and from other scammers.
