Be Warned with abusing the new UX here

I will keep this short. not even going to bother with images, just a link and a section for you to take note of which is a must read.

Since the new UX came to light there was a great joy with what WA has given us. It is a fantastic move forward for us all.

However, with the positives also comes the negatives, and that is the abuse of the system, particularly with mass and excessive likes.

It is one thing to like a comment someone has made which is great as part of your appreciation to the person(s) involved, but it is another to go overboard in not only liking excessively on the same post to a member but also going to older posts doing the same there.

I have had at least 4 members, some are starters, some are paid members in going overboard, most likely with the thought that they will increase their ranking with the points system and along with the idea to increase their monthly earnings.

Sure, at the start you will see your points increase along with the earnings for the month, but with that it can also be taken away from you very quickly if abused to the point ,it you can even get banned totally, so don't do it.

If it fine to like a comment and better still add value to the like with a positive and sensible comment as well one that adds value. None of this "great post" crap comment.

Make sure you mean it what you write in your comments and do so the right way and not abuse it as some are starting to do just for the sake of earning points and money along the way.

Last night I went to bed woke up in the morning and found over 50 likes from just 1 members and many more for some others.

All they were was a like, no comment and even going back a few months not just to posts created but more on comments I made to others. Was that necessary? No it wasn't it was abuse of the system.

So now I will give you this mainly for starter the official rules of WA along with a very important section that came with the new UX

Here is the official rules or WA

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kyle/blog/official-posting-rules-at-wealthy-affiliate

Now with the New UX there are also rules in place you cane find them by clicking leaderboard then click how it works.

This will give you information on the points system and in this case the section on abuse of the systme

I will only give you the last section the rest before that you can take time to look and read yourself.

Fraud Prevention and Spam Controls

We aim to ensure a fair and rewarding environment for all members. Below are measures in place to prevent fraud and spam.

Fraud Detection and Prevention

  • Like Pattern Detection: Accounts that show unusual like patterns (e.g., like-for-like exchanges or excessive liking from the same user) will be flagged.
  • Content Quality Analysis: Repeated low-effort or generic comments (e.g., 'Great post!') may result in points being revoked.
  • Suspicious Activity Review: Accounts with abnormal activity (e.g., spamming replies, mass-liking) will be paused for review.

Consequences of Fraud or Spam

Infraction

Action Taken

Excessive low-quality comments

Points revoked; warning issued.

Like-for-like exchanges

Temporary suspension of points for likes.

Repeated infractions or spam

Account placed in cooldown mode for 24–72 hours.

Severe or ongoing abuse

Permanent points restriction or account ban.

Now you have it there is no excuse for spamming, or abusing the points and money earnings here in WA.

This will not be tolerated and will be reported, which I have already sent to Kyle to have a look at.

For those that are truly genuine I thank you personally

For those that want to try to game the system and keep trying this is not the place for you go elsewhere you are not needed.

I make no apologies to those people

End of Rant

I agree that there will be a learning curve with the new system. There are always people who think they can scam the system.
Unfortunately, this cheapens the appreciation felt with sincere comments for your efforts. As well as encouraging others to try to scam.
Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas and insights for this program.

Thank you Sami and most welcome. Sure there will always be a learning curve with anything new however there will also be some that want to capitalize on it in a negative way fortunately starters won't benefit from the earning unless they upgade but unfortunately there are a few paid members not many just less than a handful who abuse it but keep it to the limit

There will be some that will try to abuse the award system. I can imagine that members points will be monitored regularly to make sure they are earned. I liked that you took time to clarify the Abuse in the new UX program and needs to feature in core training especially new members.

Thnx Jannette for the advice

1

You are welcome Jannette.

Yes even now there are some that are trying to take advantage of the note only the points system but the new earnings available now.

However the rules are in place and the algorithms are sorting this out along the way.

That is why any earnings will fluctuate, even if you had nothing to do with it, as any points given to you by others, oor the other way around, which may add a few cents to y the monthly earnings, will be taken away from both you and the person abusing the system.

I reality, they are not points or earnings that a valid, so adjustments need to be made.

It is fair to do so and the sooner people realize they won't be ablt to capitalize of this the sooner they will stop and start to behave properly as this community should.

You nailed it. The tools WA provides are powerful, but like everything in life, they only work when we respect both the system and each other. It’s easy to chase points, but it’s the value we bring that truly moves the needle for ourselves and the entire community.

Appreciate you speaking up. Integrity always wins over shortcuts.

Thanks Shawn and it needed to not only be said but stated as fact. Like always people who try to abuse the system will be punished and some who keep doing so as Kyle has stated can even get banned as a result in the worst case scenario.
This is a wonderful commity but you will always get and not just starter there are various paid members who are doing this as well.

1

Absolutely agree with you 100%. It’s unfortunate, but it does happen and like you said, it’s not just new folks. Even some paid members push the boundaries. I’m glad it’s being addressed openly and firmly. This platform works best when we all respect the system and each other that’s what keeps the community strong.

I’m here for growth, not shortcuts, and I really appreciate you always speaking up when it counts. And sorry for the late reply juggling a lot these days, and time seems to be flying by lately!

1

No probs for the late reply all good and yes you can understand newbie’s but the paid members especially those who should no better
Thank you for you comment appreciated

1

Absolutely I totally get where you’re coming from. Newbies, sure, it’s part of the learning curve… but when it’s paid members who should know better, that’s a whole different story. Just trying to do my part to keep things real and respectful around here. Appreciate you too, always.

Thanks a whole lot for that great information.
: - ) I had no idea, people really do that?!!
Wow.

Any hew.... do have a blessed day.

I am here because I feel safe, that I'm gonna be taken safely where I'm going without foolishness.

I have a hard enough time just learning how to get the dang content onto my site. Even making my logo has got me baffled.

2

You are most welcome and yes some think they can get away and some quick money without doing anythingelse some have already been penalised as a result.
Anyway you have a great day it is 10.30 pm monday here so I iwill have my rest for the day.
Have a great week ahead and keep on learning from the training and don't hesitate to ask question even for the logo if you are still having issue.

Take care and continue to enjoy it all

This is a wonderfl oplace to be with like minded members all around the world.

And, how many points did you earn by having all of these conversations in the comments with others?

Don't worry, I'm sure that Kyle and Carson will figure out how best to work with those who aren't adding "real value". Plus, I'm sure that once those who are doing this won't be able to keep it up because if they aren't being successful by working hard to begin with then this too will pass.

Cheers! 🍺

Hmm, the difference is Apache only posts real value, so it doesn't matter how many points he might earn to me. Ive been here a long time and agree with everything he said, we have had some abuse the system, i'll leave it at that.

1

I agree some are gaming the system and IMHO it should be left up to the owners of the system to detect it and "fix" it. I understand that some might want to inundate the owners with complaints of people gaming the system, but I think the owners time is better spent doing other things. Plus, people could report erroneously to try to "punish" those that aren't doing anything wrong just to get back at them. Again, causing more traffic towards the owners that could better spend their time on other things.

1

Each like a person gives, you earn 1 point. For one person in particular within a space of 6 hours I got around 57 likes I just went to check it out for you then as I was writing this post the same person came back and give me 21 likes withiing a space of 2 mins. that is on to of the 57 before plus a few others doing theh same but not as bad as this one. So in fact that added up to 78 likes from one person.

Yes Kyle and Carson have algorythms in place where it tooks away the points I got alogn with what value in earnings along the way while Ii was sleeping.

Does that answer your question?

1

Thank you Kerri for your support and so good to hear from you again been a while. Hope you are welll and enjoying the new UX here. I know it all looks so different and can be confusing when you have been in here for a while but just take some time to look at each section and learn where it all is and what is not there anymore.
Thank you once more my friend.

Andre

Please know that it is also our responsibility to keep this platform safe and clear away from abuse of the system. Yes Kyle and Carson have algorythms in place but it doesn't alway pick everythiing up or certain goings as well like abuse or self-promotion with a PM as well
So there are many times we as communiy members keep Kyle and Carson informed as they do appreciated it and always let us know to contine to advised them if anything else.
This also helps them to work out a better system or find more improvements for othe communtiy and WA as a whole.
One of the main reasons the need to change to the the new UX is due to want Kyle and Carson hear from the community.
We help them they help us that is what a community is for and they appreciated. we are not wasting their time in letting them know what is happening now

1

okey dokey, i stand corrected.

1

They are very good at dealing with challenges and always find the best way to deal with them. Granted, those who don't put in a real effort will probably have trouble maintaining this state. But in the long run, dedication and hard work will win out. Let's stay positive, support each other, and move forward hand in hand!

2

Well said Maria we need to just move on and keep being the awesome community we are

1

Thank you! I'm glad you agree. It's so important to keep moving forward and embrace the strength of our community. It's great to see everyone supporting each other and keeping up the positive energy.

1

Yes true and thank you again. We are a fantastici community that is always willing to help and support each other. The best community I have even been part of
