How can I make one page as my home page?

When I created my first post it appears as my home page, the next time I create the second post it goes on top of my first post as a home page. How can I make a page as my home page without automatically adding a new post on top of it?

I don't know if you still want to know this but if you look at a plugin called "post to page" this allows you to put certain blog categories on different pages this is what I use for mine.
But read the documentation as if not configured right can mess around

Your Homepage is automatically your blog roll. Each time you blog post it gets added to that page with newest entry first. Make your "homepage" a diff page with a diff title. That's what I did.

You cannot add a blog post to a specific page, they only go to your blog roll. Under General => Reading, you can change where you want your blogroll to go. Kyle always recommends that you leave it on your homepage for some particular reason though :D

Thanks a lot floridajf, really appreciated.:)

logged into your WP-admin

go to your Dashboard

then Settings

then Reading

deselect "Your latest posts" and select "A static page"

and then in the drop down menus below select the page you always want to be on top

Thank's NormadyMktg I got it now.

you do that in your Settings

go to your Dashboard > Setting > Reading

from there you get to select either your latest posts (which is the default setting) or a static page/post (which you select

hope that helps

Thanks adaba063.:)

glad to help!
