It's been about a month - My Progress So Far
Hey y'all! ( I did live in Waco, TX for 2 years so I reserve the right to say y'all once in a while).
I love the little homework assignments Kyle has set up for us - this is one of them. My progress thus far.
Sooo..., what have I accomplished? I have finished Course 1 & 2 - woot, woot! It is not as easy as it may sound - trying to hear the videos with screaming kids in the background, taking care of just every day life. But I love being back to learning - I consider this my 2nd degree.
I have gotten my website up and have managed to publish several posts - www.annikaskitchen.com - which is a great accomplishment and sense of pride. I have million technical things to learn still about how to set up my site how I actually want it, choose a better theme, change my menu, add a "search field", add PinIt buttons etc. I would love to have the site perfect before sharing, but I have to start sometime : )
In 3 months I hope to have some traffic to my site, and have a good ranking. I also hope to have a 2nd site - to promote Wealthy Affiliate. First I have to do Bootcamp! Better get cracking on that or I won't make my goal of 301 referrals. And I want to go to VEGAS baby! Momma needs a vacation once in a while : )
In 6 months (which is my magic number, before I have to bite the bullet and get a "real" job - no God please no!!!!) I hope to be able to say that this is a success for me. Meaning that I am generating income equivalent of at least a part-time job. I shall let you know how the plan goes. But the thought of going back to some cubicle - lights a fire under my you-know-what. That's OK - I don't mind working hard, when it's working hard at something I enjoy.
Finally, I would like to add: I LOVE being at Wealthy Affiliate!! As so many before many have said - Thanks Carson & Kyle!!

And I see you took (I forgot who it was) notes on wiping the glass clean for pictures :) THey look gorgeous!
ha ha - yes - that was Wayne's suggestion : ) At this point I'm borrowing my husband's Iphone to take the pictures - so when he's not around it's a challenge. I'm thinking I'm going to get an Ipad very soon (so I can take pictures, use Instagram etc. with my computer).
Annika, congratulations on all your success thus far and best wishes for much, much future success! I really hope you don't have to get that j.o.b in 6 months time...
Keep up the awesome work! You are inspiring me to put focusing on my website in the forefront of my mind... and then get to actually working on it sometime soon :)

If you do travel to the Sacramento are (if your car can take the drive) - then come by for a nice meal in Annika's real Kitchen and give those kids a hug yourself : )). A warning - Kaj (my son) will talk your ear off. By the way Maja and Kaj is pronounced Maya and Kai ( "j" in Swedish is pronounced like "y").
If not here - then of course there's Vegas. I'm looking forward to sipping some kind of martini or a mojito. See you sooner or later!

Yeah, when I saw the spelling of your kids' names I realized you really were Swedish (in case I was wondering if you were just trying to be cool ;) ...

Hi Annika! Congratulations for your success thus far! We are all very proud of you. I know! I've got to get moving on my Bootcamp education too! Loved the 4 courses for setting up our niches. You will enjoy the next two! I will hope and pray that you are making enough money in your 6 month window to be able to stay home with your children. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Ha ha - yeah those kids take up some time. As they should of course. I'm not really being a great mommy if I spend all day on the computer - but I can sneak a few hours here and there : )

Keep up the progress Annika. Your content is really great and I suppose in another month you will start getting some traffic. I'm sure you believe in the principle of anything is possible, so all the designing and intricacies related to your website, you'll eventually figure it out, don't worry. All the best!
