Hello Anne, the site header looks good. Nice site, my only suggestion, would be to lighten up your theme colours. I got the same suggestion when I first did my site. Personally I do like the black background, but apparently the younger gen, are choosing lighter.

Hey, cool site so far, but I would definitely consider changing the domain name. The "- - -" in the domain name is not search engine friendly and it's going to be difficult for people to memorize it as well. Just a thought.

Where are you getting the image from? If it's just from Google images there's a chance it's going to be pixelated like that. Try downloading it from a high quality image site like http://pexels.com. And make sure the image is CC0 public domain because people have gotten in trouble before for using copyrighted images. Hope this information is helpful!
