Before learning more about digital marketing , I never really thought about SEO or what it actually meant . I used search engines every day without really thinking about why certain websites appeared first or how businesses got their content seen online . However, after learning more about it, I realised SEO matters much more than people probably think.
SEO, also known as search engine optimization, plays a big role in what people see online. Personally, I think people do not realize how much they rely on search engines everyday . Whether it is someone looking for restaurant recommendations, skincare advice, online shopping, recipes, or even answers to random questions , most people usually search online first.

When I think about my own habits, I rarely go past the page of Google results . Usually I click one of the links I assume they are the most relevant or trustworthy . I feel like many people probably do the same thing . This made me realize why businesses and content creators care so much about ranking higher online.
In my opinion, SEO matters because visibility matters. Even if a business has a great product or useful information, people may never find it if it doesnt appear in search results . There is so much content online now that standing out has become harder than ever. This where SEO becomes important because it helps businesses make their content easier for people to find.
I also think SEO affects the way people trust information online. Sometimes people naturally assume that websites that appear at the top are more reliable , even if they do not think about it conciously. This can influence what people click on, buy or learn more about .
Overall, I believe SEO matters more than most people think because it quiely affects so much of what we do online every day. Most people probably use search engines without thinking twice about them.
But behind the scenes, SEO plays a huge role in helping businesses, websites, and content get discovered . From what I have noticed , if people cannot find something online easily , they often move on quickly , which shows just how important visibility really is
