Website up for airing
Well, today is the one month aniversary of my joining Wealthy Affiliates, and I have now tentatively aired my website for affiliates to see and comment on. http://yourwonderfulmind.com/
It's like bringing a baby into the world, and probably, like a baby, it looks like a prune right now. Hopefully, with time, more education and understanding, it will flower into something beautiful. It will not be to everyone's taste, but hopefully it will not offend anyone.
The learning curve has been huge, and there have been times when the enormity of what I was undertaking stalled me, and there were thoughts of quitting, but then, the contents of my niche subject told me that this was negative thinking, get over it and get on with it! And so I did, and many things, not as important as my website, have been neglected in the process - like cleaning my house, weeding my garden. My dogs have kept me in the real world with their insistent demands for walks and got me up off my bum for exercise, so down to the beach we go to meet other dogs, throw balls, pick up shells, paddle, enjoy the sun and the breeze, and to relenish the spirit. Isn't life wonderful?
I want to thank Kyle and Carson for this wonderful initiative in bringing like minded people together into a wonderful community.

Thunderstorms must be up and down the coast - had 4 dogs trying to get under the covers with me this morning. That's when I decided it was time to get up, play loud music and dance around to show there was nothing to fear.
Now that's a trick I've yet to try! Loud music I can do - "Flight of the Valkyries"?? Not much dancing room in a caravan! :) george

I wonder how many people think about the questions I ask. Maybe I am just a very curious person.
Not sure if I recall this but it might be useful to come right out and ask them if you haven't.
I do ask people to stop and think about some of the questions I ask (eg. Who am I?), and about the disparity between rich and poor (financial and health wise). These are the sort of questions which made me seek answers. My only hope is that I don't sound patronising. You are right, and I will now make it more of a point to ask thought provoking questions - thank you!
On your blog you were talking about time zones - nearly your bed time is it? Over here in Australia, it is Monday 4th Nov, 1.46pm (daylight savings time) and I have not done much this far except blog! Gotta go!
Very nice graphics, very nice flow, no fire and brimstone (thank goodness!) -- I like that you have spent a good deal of effort to get the look right, carefully sized your graphics and I suspect it took some effort per the template, probably took some going thru templates as well. I'm sure I'll be back. Looks like you have been thinking of doing this for a while, simmered and finally perked. It must be a great relief to get your foot into the internet door so to speak! Definitely know what you mean when you say just a handful of people tend to stick..Now you'll be itching to get more into it -- there's the rub, you've started something that will grow like a big rubber band ball!
Thank you, Mike. No, no fire and brimstone - I've become milder the older I get. People will take up what they are ready for, when they are ready for it - no sooner. The graphics - yes, I have artistic talents screaming to be expressed. Most of the graphics were constructed in the MS Paint program (Love it!). Steal beautiful scenery, sunsets, sunrises, aurora boreallis, hubble space telescope pics - use them to create backgrounds and then add the words - easy, fun!
er, what templates? should I be using templates? You might be right saying that this topic has been simmering with me, because this is not something I can discuss with anyone I know, really, yet I know that there are many people 'out there' who do know and believe this. I hope this knowledge/this belief will grow, for as it does, the world will become a better place for everyone. Actually, it's already underway!
When you did your website did you use the system here -- wordpress? It uses templates. Yes you are using wordpress -- I went for a second look. Your site seemed well thought out (which does not happen if you only slap it up with the first settings you find) so I figured you probably played with a lot of options which would have involved changing templates. Over here many folks in various states of reaching out. Some years ago I would hear more often that the world was evolving, have not heard that as frequently when the economic times tanked, but things tend to cycle back and forth.. There is quite a bit of history here -- old cultures, huna. One nice thing about creating a virtual site is you can attract like minded people and yet still have some privacy between the exchange of electronic bits. Enough for now!
Ah, yes, excuse my ignorance. I did change website themes from the original one I had, and yes, I followed Kyle's lessons step by step on Wordpress - before that, I had no clues about creating a website. Yes, the original Hawaiian culture would likely have an element of what I discuss - native cultures are so much closer to nature and more spiritual I think.
