Does anyone have any idea what is happening here, please? This a copy of one of many alien links that have appeared on my website. There were 6 on one page, all by 'bestLyrics', some with different referral sites (eg. OneTwoDown.com; MasteringCashFlow.com; SuperBingo.com ...). Interestingly, there are 6 such links on each of the 11 pages of my site, using what must be key words, plus the book ads displayed below. I installed Google Chrome today at WA's suggestion, since I was having problems s

At this time, some of us are making New Year resolutions and setting goals for the New Year ahead – great, go for it! The wise ‘They’ say, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” One word of warning to those who have heard of, and follow, SMART Goals - S = Specific ; M = Measurable ; A = Attainable ; R = Realistic ; T = Timely “Specific” and “Measureable” are good ; “Attainable” and “Realistic”, and even ‘Timely’, however, are limiting - they keep you within you

Here are Santa and his singing reindeer in a rendition of "White Christmas", a song by Irving Berlin and sung by the Drifters, and very cleverly animated by cartoonist, Joshua Held. I just loved this, I hope you do too. Turn the sound up and sing along! AND Have a GOOD ONE! http://soloshideawayfunpages.com/_christmas/whitechristmas/ (Hope that's OK to post, Rich ) PS - just found a YouTube link posted by Joshua Held- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ooc5eJc5SHA

While our English cousins are knee deep in snow, and expecting a cosy white Christmas around a log fire, we here in Southern regions will be sweltering in 40deg.C heat (104deg.F). For many it will mean a Christmas picnic at the beach, or a BBQ around the pool. What a contrast! It is also bushfire season, when firies and volunteers will be called out to battle blazes in tinder dry bush. I recall one Christmas day many years ago, as we stood on the beach at Cronulla (South of Sydney) as a bushfi

I’d like to expand on this well-known quote, for I think many people do not fully get what it means, and some may not have seen or heard of it before. I have noticed many negative comments in people’s blogs and posts about their lack of success, their ‘failures’, etc. some people have worked hard with little progress as yet, some are impatient and expecting too much in a short time. To these people I want to say, that if you continue to focus on your disappointments and failures, you w

Stuff happens – all the time, if not to me, then it’s to you, or you and you. Sometimes it’s great stuff, other times not so great. What we are never taught (well, not in my day anyway), is that the way we respond to ‘stuff’ is a matter of choice. What? You didn’t know that? Seriously, yes, the way we respond to the events in our lives, especially those of the ‘not-so-good’ variety, is a matter of choice. However, we are so caught up in our habitual modes of thinking, tran

This may start you thinking: Which are you - Manager or a Leader, and what is the difference? From a Wall Street Journal .... - The manager maintains; the leader develops. - The manager focuses on systems and structure; the leader focuses on people. –The manager relies on control; the leader inspires trust. –The manager has a short-range view; the leader has a long-range perspective. –The manager asks how and when; the leader asks what and why. –The manager has his or her eye always on

My body is middle-aged and starting to creak a bit. Lately prolonged sitting is starting to take a toll on my legs. Pretty well everything I do involves my computer – writing, art work, reading, stock market and charting …. and then came Wealthy Affiliate. I can sit for many hours at my computer, completely absorbed, forgetting all about time, even ignoring numb feet and tingling sometimes. So, not sitting down presents a problem – and I’m guessing that it would for many here on WA a

Footnote to bull photograph: "During this year's Festival of Sacrifice, Australian animals were documented being illegally and indiscriminately sold from an 'approved' feedlot in Mauritius, in breach of Australian regulations. They met violent, tragic deaths on the streets of Mauritius after stumbling terrified with ropes tied to their legs." I post this here, because here is a world-wide gathering of people, good, sincere people. I urge you to stand up for what you believe is morally right.

Well, today is the one month aniversary of my joining Wealthy Affiliates, and I have now tentatively aired my website for affiliates to see and comment on. http://yourwonderfulmind.com/ It's like bringing a baby into the world, and probably, like a baby, it looks like a prune right now. Hopefully, with time, more education and understanding, it will flower into something beautiful. It will not be to everyone's taste, but hopefully it will not offend anyone. The learning curve has been huge, and
