Right attitude Right frame of mind Sucess
One day, I told myself, " Angie, enough is enough", and I resigned from my job. I had no plans, nothing. I had to give a 3 months notice period, which I did. It was the most daring and outrageous thing that I have ever done in my life. In my 40 years of being on planet earth, taking a risk or taking a leap of faith is totally alien to me. I prefer to hide in safe havens, comforted and staying cozy with my " security blanket". It is easier being with things you know. Why rock the boat when you are in calm waters?
However, something changed within me when I started going through the course. I had the desire to go full time on my own. DISCLAIMER : Ok, this is not something that I would recommend to anyone unless you are suffering from "temporary insanity" like me. So, Ms risk taker me, decided to take on some part time teaching jobs to cover the monthly bills so that I can focus on my business. Now, this is what it truly means to Mind Your Own Business.
Back in my mind, I thought, well, I shall just follow the lessons to a tee and I would be making loads of money in no time. Instant gratification. Boy, was I wrong! Let me tell you that the wrong mindset creates the wrong expectation and the outcome will never be what you want. I went through a lot of frustration to a point that I wanted to quit this and return back to a full time career. I took a breather from the WA lessons for a while just to think and get my head back in order. In the meantime, I used to register myself for Jay's training and go through them. It was in one of his training session, that it hit me, this is a real, genuine business. It takes time to build and like any other business out there, you need to put work in it. I can't just do a few lessons and expect a pot of gold at the end of it. It just doesn't work that way. I re-looked at the niche that I chose and asked myself what was my motivation in creating that particular website. Realization hit me hard. I forgot the bigger picture.
Long story short , I reorganized my thoughts and started it all over again from scratch. This time the difference is to have the right motivation in front of me.I also looked for motivation and mentors from within the WA community to inspire and also teach me on how I can do things better which I am truly grateful for. You can hardly get such selfless people in the corporate sector.Trust me, I was in it for a decade of my life! To keep my REASON in check, I keep reminding myself why I am doing this on a daily basis. Basically, I needed rebooting or is it rewiring or both? Oh well whichever it is, I am on the right track now and happy with the progress.
What I have learn so far is that having the right attitude and frame of mind is KEY in doing any business. Without it, nothing will work out.
