Plugin Award winner 2016: WP Rollback
Hello,
If there was an award for best plugin of the year, then WP Rollback would have a big chance to go home with this award...
But there is no award and so I will pay homage thru this blog! ;-)
Apparently, the plugin existed already 8 months and some fixes are made, but with this plugin you can avoid a lot of problems, work and frustration...
When you have updated a theme or a plugin you can easily do a rollback with it, without having to connect to your FTP site and change the folder names and files manually...
Now you can do this simply with a User Interface...
You just select the version you want to use and the plugin will upgrade or downgrade the selected plugin or theme to the version of your choice.
This avoids sweaty hands during an update or to doubt if you will do an update or not.
Actually Wordpress should consider integrating this plugin in their program/dashboard as a standard option or tool.
It would really help a lot of people from painful situations!

That term ROLLBACK has a specific meaning to us in the IT BUSINESS. There is an entire section on one of the professional certification exams about it. Kind of ironic someone would that name in WordPress of all things.
