Hello,
This is the first blog post on wa for me. I have been a paid member here for almost a month now, and thought I'd check in to share my progress and what I've learnt to date.
The first thing I've learnt, and continue learning, is how much I don't know about building a website. The more I learn, the more I realise just how much there is to learn!
I've also realised that shifting my focus from 'how can I make money?' to 'how can I help people?' makes not only researching my niche far more easy, but also developing content for my website's blog posts is more effortless. Rather than thinking 'what should I write about today?', I already have ideas and it's just a matter of picking the one I'd like to do first.
I have a few ideas for sites, however on the advice of many people here, I've decided to focus solely on one to begin with. And the one I chose was the one I was most passionate about - which is a site aimed at teens primarily in Australia (though not exclusively) who are suffering from bullying, self-image/relationship/school issues.

I'm currently at the building content part of my site. I'm trying not to get distracted by how an income is to become of this, though I am looking forward to that part of the training (I'm currently on course 2, lesson 10 - hence this blog post!).
My short term, primary goals at this point is to continue working through the training.
With every new training lesson I go through, there seems to be that little bit more to add onto my daily routine. I'd love to know how you manage everything related to building your site? Do you have set times for blogging? Set times for checking email, engaging with social media? I guess it's just a matter of trial and error until what works is found, and even then I'm guessing that could change.
Now I can go and tick the 'write my first blog entry' off the lesson's 'to do's'.
Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings!
Angela
