Thing's can only get better

Who would have thought, in 2020 the World would be brought to it's knees by a Virus.? But that is where we sit currently, after 12 weeks in Lockdown , here in the UK.

It is not the time for recriminations now, that will come once the pandemic is finished, story's of collusion and skull duggery , will have to go on hold - The World is currently coming together to find a cure - People have become more 'respectful' of their surroundings, their family and for other people's effort to assist people they would have never known.

It is a time to 'shout out our thanks' to all those who have made positive moves in 'helping to make a difference, namely:

• Our 'front line 'staff in the NHS and care system.
• Mums and Dads for becoming 'teachers for 12 weeks', keeping their young ones entertained and taught (With a smile? ......Obviously)
• The courage displayed by UK's Transport system, to keep the necessary supply line open on a daily basis.

• The courage of Tube Drivers, Station staff, Bus drivers and Cab drivers - keeping esssential services running, particularly at the height of the pandemic.
• The dedication and courage of our Emergency services, Ambulance, Fire, Police in doing their jobs , to assist the needy.
• The dedication of our 'Home delivery' Agents delivering Food and essentials daily.
• The tenacity of our 'supermarket front line' heroes, keeping the shelves full , in difficult situations
• Everyone, on Thursday's at 8PM , standing outside and 'Clapping for Carers'
• Sports Venues opening their doors to feed NHS staff, affected by their having to isolate from their families
• Chelsea FC and Gary Neville throwing open their doors to their Hotels to support NHS staff maintain their professionalism and dedication
• Hundreds of Thousands of Volunteers stepping forward to help the 'less fortunate' stuck at home, by delivering food, medicines, friendship on a daily basis.
• The Dedication and Professionalism of Teachers , in their keeping schools open for NHS workers and the like, for the school janitors and staff in preparing schools for re-opening
• The cheeriness of refuse collection guys, keeping our streets clean
• The 'British Stiff Upper Lip' attitude of 'Colonel Tom', rightfully upgraded to 'Colonel' and then.....Sir Tom (Another One)
• Pop stars and self employed musicians keeping us entertained throughout with concerts and performances on social media.
• Pubs and Restaurants, Fast food outlets staying open for take away's
• Deliveroo (And similar) for delivering said take away's
• Essential services for keeping our homes safe and being there for emergency call outs
• The World getting it's aura back, global warming easing as a result of less cars,lorries, planes in the air
• Wildlife is benefitting

There are obviously , many many more not mention, who we thank from the bottom of our hearts.

The ones I do NOT mention are The Press (Can there ever have been a profession with SO MUCH negativity, rudeness and apathy towards US and daily matters?)

It is a sad indictment of the UK's Government , that cannot or will not, tell the populace the truths of the matter, but why?. The media is FULL of untruths , negative stories, not one shread of hope to be seen, anywhere. In our Country's history, we have stories of courage, strength, resolve and positivity.......sadly where is that now, from our Government? Yesterday the UK had MORE deaths than the 27 other EU COUNTRIES put together #somethingsnotright

After 12 weeks, thing's look brighter, slowly slowly catch a monkey..........The future is unclear, 'normality' has to be redefined, which will take time. It's comforting the way the general public have 'embraced' Lockdown.

I certainly, look forward to 'normality' returning and hope, above all else, this new of 'sea of empathy' towards each other, continues for longer than I think it may do (People have short memories).............
