What a year it's been so far!

Could it get any worse I hear you say?. Hell yeah!

Thank God that we live in the richest country in the world, thank God that we have so many resources at our disposal, thank God we don't live under a totalitarian communist dictator who is burning people alive in incinerators. Thank God that we have a president that deeply cares about this nation. Thank God that even though we have shelter in place orders, that we can still get to the shops, Thank God that there is still food in our shops. Thank God that there is provision for those who cannot work because they've been laid off. Thank God for all our very brave health care persons. Thank God for law and order.

Yeah, it's a bummer that my 18 year old son probably won't have a graduation ceremony, or that he can't play his beloved baseball. Yeah, it's a bummer that we have to wear stupid masks to go outside. Yeah, it's a bummer that we can't have friends over for dinner without risk.

Yep, so much has changed and in such a short space of time, and it may be years before we get back to normal, if ever! We are still only in the first quarter of the year. Whew, what a ride.

In times like these it reminds me to count my blessings, focus on the positive, say no to the negative. Pray for my family, pray for my friends (and enemy's too) pray for this country and it's leaders. Here's to counting our blessings and blessing our friends.

I can't change the circumstance over which I have no control, but I can change my attitude to my circumstance. Give thanks with a grateful heart.
