Took Time Off to Read Books!
It has been more than a month since I touched a computer or laptop! I only checked my phone for emergency purposes but I felt I just had to disconnect from everything, technology in particular! I did not watch TV or listened to radio, but I read book! All kind of books, some serious some really silly. I did it on my Kindle (technology huh?).
It was just convenient to have all those books in one place and I am running out of space in my home library for any additional books. I stopped purchasing hard cover books a couple of years ago after I filled the last 2 bookselves in our home library and after I counted more than 2500 books! So I have been getting them all in electronic format and I have thousands of them in my Kindle. I stopped counting them.
I try to read all the books I get but it just has become impossible lately. That is why I decided to disconnect from everything and just read books for a few weeks!
Do you like reading books? What was the last time you read a book? What was the last book you have read?

I love to read fiction before falling asleep. It soothes and relaxes me. One can learn a lot from well written fiction as well as non fiction.
I usually have several different genres I get from the library at one time.
I'm constantly reading books, and always have done. Sometimes just fiction for entertainment, sometimes factual stuff, to gain knowledge about something I am interested in. I don't have a kindle as such, though I purchase from the kindle store sometimes, direct to my mobile phone, one of the latest Samsungs with a big screen. I have never not got a book on me to read, wherever I am, especially now I can have them on my phone.
Reading books can be very inspirational and uplifting. As a former librarian, I loved this post. Thank you!
