Pink Lake in Serbia

Did you know that there is a pink lake in my Serbia? (Barbie:))

This artificial lake is located in the northern part of Serbia, Vojdovina in a small town Pacir, 178 km from Belgrade.
The water is salty, thermal and medicinal.
It is 2000 square meters in size, 1.6 meters deep. It is constantly filled with thermal water in the summer from a pump at the bottom of the lake, which is mixed with well water so that its temperature drops from a too-hot 72 degrees to a pleasant 30 for swimming.

The concentration of salt is 21-22 grams per liter. Lakes usually have bluish-green hues, however this lake in Vojvodina has a pink color. The color comes from iodine, bromine and lithium which are found here in high concentration and which make this lake medicinal.

The water is clear, but because of its pink color it seems cloudy. The lake is completely drained in winter and the gravel is cleaned.

The lake is open only during the summer months from June to the end of August.
Since 2018, the complex has been further improved and indoor swimming pools have been put into operation, making it possible to enjoy the thermal spa all year round.

In addition to strengthening the immune system, Banja Pačir is suitable for the treatment of skin diseases, psoriasis, some vascular and respiratory diseases, as well as for the treatment of rheumatic diseases and muscle injuries.
