I don't know anything either
I've noticed that a lot of people here on Wealthy Affiliate are afraid to answer any questions because they feel like they don't know enough or that they don't qualify to answer the questions because they aren't making any money yet. But, being the sociable person that I am, I jumped in with both feet on day one.
And here's what I found out.
It doesn't matter if you can answer the question or not. Sometimes it helps just to validate for the person that someone heard their question and that they aren't alone. This is a COMMUNITY of people. This means that everyone has a vital part in making the community a safe place to ask questions. Besides "just" being a place to have your technical questions answered (and being the greatest source of information on the internet--no big deal), WA serves a much more noble purpose:
- People can be part of something bigger than themselves.
- This community gives people hope.
- It gives them confidence to try things they've never tried before.
- It sparks creativity.
- It's a safe place to try new things.
- It's a place to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs and dreamers.
- It's a source of inspiration.
These are all things that EVERY ONE OF US brings to the table. It's not just the people who are bringing in $10,000 a month per website. It's also the brand new guy from this morning.
So stop selling yourself short. You matter here! Your opinion matters! Join in on the discussions or just say hi. Offer feedback. You never know who might need to hear exactly what you have to say today.

Well said, Amy! I've been of that mindset myself...not responding to a question if I didn't feel I knew enough about the subject. I've since decided that it's more about contributing to the discussion than trying to answer the question. Thanks, Amy!

HI Amy! I couldn't have said that any better! You are a RARE GEM in our community here at WA! I look forward to reading your Blogs! You were the first one who welcomed me into this community, other then our phenomenal co-founder's! I will never forget this Amy!
Aw Karen! That's so nice! I know, I love this place. And I'm glad I was the first one to welcome you. :) That motivates me to do some more of that!
Love this. All of it is true and this is something that has helped me immensely being here for only a few days.
I have done all that you have just stated! helping others by welcoming newcomers and new Premium members, my following list is getting bigger every day and I respond to ALL posts and 'like' them all also. I read all the help needed posts and was able to leave helpful comments since I had experienced them. Doing these things encourage us all and we feel like we are not alone. Congratulating new steps and progress, milestones to everyone. I have helped so many since I was very young...I love helping others.
I am so happy to be here, it's so much different than what I first thought. Everyone cares and helps out and...it's not just in our local area but all around the world!
Isn't it great? I know, it really doesn't matter how new you are. If you are working the lessons, you've probably run into the same problems as other people, so you can always offer up a little something! I'm a people person like you. This place is right in my wheelhouse!
Haha...it's right in my 'wheelhouse' also. We are now neighbors, no matter where we live in the World :)
Yes I sure am a people person!
My friends in Uganda gave me the name "Lamara" last year, which means, "Girl who loves everyone". It fits me perfectly. :)
So funny, I'm the same. Earth Angel for helping others. People come my way..I help them and they vanish. I have compassion for everyone..
