Back to school, back to the drawing board

So I've been away basically all summer from WA.
A self imposed hiatus due to having to deal with breast cancer. I've had 2 surgeries and started a new full time job, as a nursing supervisor, which I love. It keeps me motivated and engaged and up-to date on my passion, which is caring for the elderly.
However, I haven't had time to work on my website. I've watched it sit idle and haven't written any articles either. That bugs me.
What I have done is peruse the training materials here, and realize my website is too broad!
I now know I need to hone my skills and focus on specific consumer needs, at the time they need the product.
My chosen niche is the elderly.
I believe it's a great one. The baby boomer population has reached 65 and is a huge consumer who is computer savvy and interested in living a long life to the fullest.
Anyway, reading all the great training materials here at WA, I'm finding that I can dive into local and worldwide markets at the time a need arises, and cash in, while helping people!
The great thing is, everyday in my job I work with the elderly, their families, doctors, physical and occupational therapists, wound and skin care specialists, dentists and opthalmologists, podiatrists, etc...learning the ever changing world of geriatrics! I also deal with medical companies, pharmacies, and dealers of geriatric products and get info on the newest up and coming products. I'll be attending seminars to widen my knowledge in the changes in elder care, and how seniors can stay healthier, living at home!
To some of you this may be boring, but to me it's very exciting, as it offers me fuel for the websites I know I can create. There are many senior focused sites out there, but I'm not deterred. It's back to school time, and what I've already learned here at WA creating my website on wordpress, writing street articles, and marketing both on social sites makes me far ahead of where I was when I started day one of the 30 day success club!
So what I say to anyone reading this...don't give up if one dream idea doesn't go your way. You can't fit a square peg into a round hole. You've gotta find a round peg and get to work! :)

Hi Amy

I was so glad to see this blog from you. I am so glad that you are back with us. I hope you continue to recover well from your breast cancer. Congratulations on the job that is really great.

I love your idea for a site for the 65+. Yes there are a lot, but in my view they're still very under represented. So got for it.

Look forward to hearing how you progress

Best wishes

Beverley

Hi Beverley and thank you!
Your articles as always have been greatly appreciated in my email. You find a positive spin for everything; I don't mean that in a bad way! You just write what people need to hear...yeah life stinks sometimes but you have to keep going because no-one can do it for you.
Keep those infographics coming as well, love 'em!
Again, great to hear from you Beverley!
