My Progress Since Joining Wealthy Affiliate - Slow and Steady!

As part of my training, as I'm sure most of you know, I am required to create a blog post here on Wealthy Affiliate to update and give progress on how I am doing.

So, here goes.

My Progress Thus Far

I have been with WA since May of this year. It has been very slow going for me, but I have now found a groove and schedule that I stick to on a daily basis. Because of this commitment, I have been progressing forward at a faster pace. Here are some of the success and things I am pround of that I have acheive since May:

• I have set up my website. The great, easy to follow training here made it very easy to set up my website with wordpress. I would have found it much harder if I hadn't had that training. So any newbies reading this who aren't sure if it's worth it to go Premium....IT IS!

• I have ranked - or my website has ranked.

• One of my blog posts just indexed with google!!! I was super excited when I got the email telling me this! YAY!

• I have added content to my website with 6 blog posts relating to my niche.

• I have started a Facebook and Instagram page to post content related to my niche. I find social media fun and a great way to give my followers information they are looking for when it comes to gut health. Oh, and I have also started a Tik Tok page. Ummmm, yeah Tik Tok is addicitive! Where will Tik Tok lead my business? I have no clue, but it's fun to get creative with making videos.

• I have joined an affiliate marketing program. They call us "ambassadors", but we are affilite marketers for this program. LOL. I have a link in both my IG and Facebook pages. I'm not sure yet how to add the link to my website, however, I have had some financial success in this affiliate program ($80 US!).
  

My Niche

At first, my niche was in the genre of young adult fiction books. I was planning on reviewing books, suggesting books to read - all within the genre of the Young Adult Fiction.

However, I quickly came to realize, during my training, that I LOVE to read but I don't love to write about what I have read. So around July, I changed my niche and re-started my training.

It was when I was visitng my sister, that I figured out a niche which I am passionate about. My niche is gut health. I find the gut and how it works FACINATING.

My youngest has issues with yeast overgrowth in her gut, and it's been through trying to help her that I have found an interest in this topic. Did you know that 80% of us have gut dysbiosis (leaky gut)? I am currently in the process of researching more about this so I can write another blog post.

3 Month Goals

Here are my goals for over the next 3 months:

• Post content (blog posts) on to my website consistentlhy 1 - 2x a week.
• Continue with WA training daily
• Join affiliate programs that align with my specific niche and that I believe in.
• Make my first affiliate sale off of my webpage links.

6 Month Goals

Here are my goals for the next 6 months:

• Increase my blog posting to 3 - 4 posts a week.
• Continue with WA Training
• Post more blogs on WA and help other new members often
• Increase my sales through my affiliate links
• Read at leat one self help/business/marketing/motivational book
