I Realize I've Chosen the Wrong Niche
Hi there fellow WA-ers!
It has been a while since I've been on here. I've been doing the training, I just haven't been present in the WA community.
Training for me has been slow as I take FOREVER to write a blog post! That plus my kids are home all day every day currently, so that leaves very little time for me.
That being said, I have been away on vacation this past week, and while I was away, I realized that I have choosen the wrong niche! So all the training I have done, I will need to re-do so that I can set up a new website and domain.
I'm not that far along in my training so now is a good time to change, but at the same time I am feeling a tad...... overwhelmed!
So any support or advice would be great!
Thanks everyone and I hope to be on here more this coming week!

Hi Anna
Don’t worry- you are simply experiencing the same thing we all got through when trying to learn new skills.
It’s good that you have realised early that you are in the wrong niche. When choosing your new one be sure to pick something that is both interesting to you and has products you can sell as an affiliate further down the line.
Remember that although your first niche is not for you, you will have learned new skills along the way which will help you as you build out your new site.
Finally, be sure to reach out for help when you get stuck. There are many helpful people here 😀
Thanks Dave! I think this second niche will be better for affiliate marketing sales, plus I really feel passionate about it!

Anna,
There is no need to be overwhelmed, in spite of what you may think, there are other great solutions to your perceived problem.
The last thing you want to do is to feel either overwhelmed or burnt out and then your creativity will also suffer.
If your writing is also something of an issue, there are also solutions for that as well.
I know that I am writing this and it may sound like general vague statements, however, I do have specific things in mind to address those concerns.
In any event, should you want to consider those suggestions, please PM me and I will share them with you.
As in the past, I do choose the PM method so that there will be no inference of any endorsement or promotion of any product or service.
Reach out when you are ready to look into those suggestions I have.
Blessings!
I made the change a few times and I am super glad that I did. At this point, I have successfully written over a million words for this newest website.
My other two have been collecting dust and I don't have a single concern about working on them again.
One tip is to stop allowing yourself to make excuses, which also includes feeling afraid to listen to how you are feeling.
Overwhelm is just a simple feeling that happens when you are looking at things too far ahead. Stop doing that and work on the steps one at a time.
That will give you the power to make this change and that will ease your mind while you discover what project is next.
Often in our initial excitement, Anna. We start off with our chosen niche, only to realise 3 months down the road for instance that it isn't what we want.
I did this and gave my 1st website to another member and she has continued to develop it but it had 49 posts so was worth saving
Enjoy your new niche and work hard and all will come together I am sure of it
Vicki
Thank you @Vickic3. I am going to start over and hopefully one day I can return to my initial niche.

An unfortunate fact of life Anna. Until we do some work on a niche we are not sure if it going to work for us or not.
Good luck with your new niche.
Derek
Thanks Derek!
