Site comments is really frustrating me!!! I learned the difference between feedback and comment which I truly appreciate. However, when I give a comment I STILL get dissapproved!! Sigh!! My rating percentage has gone way down and now I'm freaking out! I am trying very hard to make sure I'm commenting and giving posititve comments and it seems like I can't win!!!!

Vent over.

I like to look at my commenting as a way of helping promote someone else and their website. I look for creative ways to make specific mentions back at the article content from the writers perspective. My reasoning is both to give what I am hoping to receive, but more importantly ... to think from a readers perspective... often times... I have observed myself going to the comment sections of things I am reading... to get a sense of whether I want to spend more time reading the content, and what other people had observed in the content... so if someone skims over your comments and notices something interesting that is in the article,.,that will help keep them engaged. In the end... we are a community of people who are interested in helping everyone achieve the same level of success we are striving for ourselves. Let me know if this suggestion helps.

That has to be very discouraging. Perhaps you should see if you can find a way to read others' comments, to see how they differ from yours. A lot of folks have trouble with comments; I have had, too, from time to time. It's an imperfect system, but worthwhile as both a teaching tool and a chance to add comments to our posts. Try again...don't give up...you will figure it out.

Why would someone disapprove a comment? The only time I do that is if I thought it was spam! I will even take a "thoughtful" critical comment. Sometimes those spark interest and inspire others to join in.

I missed a request that had been made, but the comment itself was perfect! I just forgot to add the request to the comment..... I think I should not do site comments at the end of the day. By then I am tired and miss things. Another lesson learned I guess.

Yes, I know how having a tired brain is! But, a good comment is still a comment! I just don't understand people sometimes...

If they who receive the feedback or comment are looking for the perfect comment or feedback so they look good, to me, that's wrong. I think any feedback you get should be taken and this way you (one who receives it) can prove to the reader that you are legit and you can handle problems when they arise.
Don't stop being you, and don't let them get you down. Learn from it and move on.

Thanks! It was not a perfect comment as I missed a request that was asked....now that i've had a few days to think about it, I can see why my comment was disapproved. But the comment itself was good, it just didn't contain ALL that was asked. They are entitled to being picky I guess.

I need to change when I do site comments I think. Late at night right before bed doesn't seem to be working for me.

Hang in there, Anna! You'll get it sorted, my friend!

Thanks.
