You're A Target Of A Negative SEO
Hello guys i just want to highlight on this issue going on out there with our rankings and traffic which most of you don't have any idea about even me until i found out yesterday what was really going on with my website/blog.
So i was ranking very well for these keywords words which for a complete beginner to the SEO world i was surprise to have held my position on the first page ranking as the no.1 for this keyword and other ones which were pretty much doing well climbing up with page rankings.
I saw and felt my competitors doing something spooky to bring me down from the rankings. Most days i will see a drop in position in rankings and traffic, but i thought that that was a normal thing to happen as my website was just only 8 months by that time. I get receiving backlinks from sources i don't have any idea about and all these while i was using the (semrush site) to control everything going on with my website but didn't suspected anything negative like someone could attack my website by sending me tons of spammy links and backlinks to bring my rankings/traffic down to the bottom, just because they saw me as a treat to compete with in the same niche.
The last on that got me thinking of attack to my website was the recent 16 backlinks which were sent to my site. After receiving them i notice i drop in traffic, sometimes zero traffic receive in a day and if i was to receive any traffic per day, it would be 1 or 2 per day.
I couldn't understand this, i recently also checked my ranking and i've lost completely all my first position rankings, to a point where i can't even find any of my articles from page 1-10. This made me almost lost my motivation and my appetite for blogging entirely but i never gave up.
So since then, i've been researching to find a solution to the drop down of my rankings and traffic. Fortunately for me yesterday i found the problem causing this with a video a landed on from YouTube.
Practically this video said a lot and i believe everything he said, because already i was feeling this suspicious thing going on. They call this devil doing the NEGATIVE SEO/BLACK HAT, whereby if you're competing with your competitors in the same niche or out rank them, what they'll do is take time out of their free time to buy spammy links/backlinks and just target your page with all of those bad links. And i was told they do this with (fiver) and this includes adults links, porn graphy links or any links that voilents the terms of Google's penguin.
Lucky enough for me i was able to disavow all those spammy links and backlinks(about 389 external links which were dead/broken down) including some couple of porno graphic links they target to my page. You can also do the same after finding out the spammy links and backinks by going to Google and researching about "THE GOOGLE DISAVOW TOOL" and also you can further research about this issue on YOUTUBE and how to disavow your the bad links.
Roughly it'll take me of up to 3 weeks to revive back to my positions and rankings and i hope anyone reading this out there stays aware of the battle we're fighting out there as online marketers and to always check and disavow the bad links when they throw it up on you and protect yourselves.

Yes for sure there are people out there so obsessed with money they believe anything and everything is right to do if it helps them to succeed. For them there is no place in "business" for ethics. It is all about "doing whatever it takes" to succeed and so forth.
Anyway, good luck and this also shows people saying backlinks don't matter is nonsense.
If backlinks weren't being looked at still then this practice wouldn't be so common.Obviously for backlinks to kill your rankings means they carry a lot of weight.
It truly does matter and can case you a lot if you mess up by getting bad/spammy backlinks that's why our enemies in this online market space are using it a lot against their competitors(us). Google is aware of everything going on and we should do our best also to protect ourselves from our predators(competitors). Wish you all the best.
To me it seems like the best way is to not rely on Google and focus on other traffic generation methods.
I mean sure Google has the disavow feature but do we really need to be wasting our time doing that? I mean what is to stop your competitors from doing it again and again and again and again?
Sadly Google is causing this. Lots of people fighting for the very few positions available in the search rankings. Of course some of those people will do anything they can to knock others out.

Exactly my thoughts about this issue, something needs to be done and this type of actions needs to stop immediately. Am hoping Google comes out with a new update to solve this problem, but until then we need to watch out for the bad guys.
