You have to have Google AdSense before you can sign up for Google Alerts? Then I wonder why signing up for Google alerts is a task in Certification 3, lesson 6 and Google Adsense is the next lesson?

Does anyone use Google Analytics? It's not showing I am getting any traffic to my site yet. But I think there may be a problem. I get this message when I login:
No valid
That means the tracking code is not installed correctly on your site.
Recheck again and make sure all the given code is pasted correctly.
There are a few methods to embed to code to your site.
1) Copy and paste manually the code within the head section of your site. If you are not familiar with HTML coding, you might want to use other method.
2) Use the plugin - just search google analytic. This is much simpler. All you need to do is get your analytic ID and paste in on the plugin setting.
3) If you are using SEO plugin such as One SEO, there is column where you can paste your code ID in the setting area.
Hope you can get the code installed correctly.

Hi Joe. Thanks for answering! Option 2 or 3 is definitely what I want. I don't know anything about HTML. However...I'm confused on what to search for in step #2. What exactly do I need to search for on google? My analytic ID? What search terms would I put?
I am using an SEO plugin. Where would I go to find the column to enter the code? And how do I find the code?

Hi all. I noticed an issue on the homepage of my site. As I scroll down, instead of just scrolling, the page skips a little. It makes it very hard to read my introduction. On t
It must be either the theme or a plugin. Have you recently changed your theme or added any new plugins?
First step is to try a different theme. If that doesn't work then reactivate Ascent and deactivate all your plugins.
Now activate the plugins one at a time, checking as you go to see which one is causing the problem.
I did just change to Ascent not that long ago. I really like it except for that. It probably is related to the theme. I can check plugins. Thanks for the idea.

Hi Amanda. I am at that same stage and I just keep following the training as my site isn't too developed yet. So I keep building and learning and in the end you will know what to adjust to gain more traffic.
