Happy 2016, everyone!

Hello everyone,

First of all, I'd like to express my appreciation and gratitude for everyone in this wonderful community, especially those who have given me support and encouragement, answered my questions, and given me helpful hints. I have enjoyed communicating with so many fantastic, sensitive, intelligent people.

Recently, Shannon (shanbrack) wrote a blog post called "Welcome and following each other. Huh?" I can relate to her feelings about thanking followers, etc. taking up so much time. I have had the same experience. Other WA members replied to Shannon, advising her to make training the first priority and do your best with answering e-mails.

I've always written a short message to each follower to thank them, then started following them in return. I know this builds a network so I started getting more blog posts and questions in my e-mail Inbox. I definitely see the value of these notifications. But now I have to make some decisions about time and priorities. I have health issues so I don't always have a lot of energy to work many hours a day. I went through the first 10 lessons quickly but then got overwhelmed.

Lately, I've been preoccupied with preparing for cataract surgeries I'll be having next month. When I can see the computer better I know I be able to do more work and concentrate on the lessons and other trainings! :-)

I've recently constructed a system to organize all the e-mails. E-mails that are announcing a training, one from Kyle and/or Carson, a private message, answer to a question of mine, personal profile comments and my blog post comments, will stay in my Inbox until I've seen the training, or read and/or answered the message. After that I move the e-mail to my WEALTHY AFFILIATE folder. I'm immediately moving Follow e-mails, New Questions, and some miscellaneous items to the WA folder. Then I have a WA BLOG POST folder where I'm immediately moving all blog post e-mails, and a WA Pay Forward folder for those. I realize I can't take the time to read all these because then I'd never have time for the trainings, at least not now (in the summer and early fall I have more energy, both physical and mental). But since those e-mails are collected in the folders, I can always go back and look at them. By using this system, my Inbox won't get packed with dozens of unread e-mails.

So as of January 12, I haven't been writing thank you messages to people following me, or following them back. But in my mind and heart I thank all of those members, and the e-mails are still in my WA folder so I can go back whenever I have time.
