What is your why?
WHAT is your WHY?
You may know your WHAT - what you want to achieve!
And you may know your HOW - how you are going to achieve your WHAT!
But do you know your WHY - the most important motivator of all?
Not knowing your WHY keeps you from achieving your WHAT, as you lack the vision and motivation to stay focused and committed to your goal.
You may think you are well-prepared, as you know HOW you are going to achieve your goal ... but you just can't get there.
You feel STUCK - because your WHY is missing, or not fully understood!
Without clearly knowing your WHY, the drive to succeed is minimized, the driving force is missing and you are unlikely to achieve your objectives.
A person, without their WHY, does not have the resilience to "go the extra mile" and defy the blocks and barriers standing in the way.
Often they will make up an endless list of excuses for not being successful.
Whereas, a person who has defined and embraced their WHY, will do whatever is necessary to accomplish this, and overcome all challenges on the journey to achieving the end goal.
Above all else, see these challenges in a positive light, and allow yourself to be strengthened and motivated to success, by overcoming them one by one.
Once you identify, accept and understand your... WHY
Success is much more achievable!

My why is exactly, I do not and never want to be a liability to anyone at all in anything. And I want to give away to the poor and those they cannot help themselves because of poverty and ignorance! Our Why MUST Be emotional and compelling reasons. It's like a dose of power that keeps you going!
Yes, our WHY is almost always an emotional need!
The subconscious drives us to achieve these emotional states, but often does not allow us to clearly see or understand what the "real" goal is!
For you Florentino, achieving financial independence is very important ... it will give you a clear sense of success and fulfillment!
I wish you the huge success in achieving your Why!

Perhaps this will help to make this more clear ... German philosopher Frederick Nietzsche once said:
"He who has a why can endure any ... how"
Knowing the why, is an important first step in figuring out how to achieve that one goal which excites you, and creates a life you enjoy living (versus merely surviving!).

You know, Allan, since I entered this arena, I seem to be experiencing a significant transformation in my WHY. I wonder, could it be because of all of this noble community of encouraging people like you and all the others who spend their time thinking up ways, and putting them into action to help others. It's an amazing phenomenon. Thank you, sir.
I suspect you are experiencing an "Awakening" ... your potential is becoming more clear, as you learn and are challenged in the community!
Keep it up Earl .... there is so much for all of to learn about ourselves!

Excellent point about knowing your why.
You need to have a firm grasp on the reason why you are going to expend large amounts of energy, time, treasure and talent on goals to accomplish. If you can not make yourself really understand why, then this will likely just be a hobby rather than a business.
Dave.
Exactly ... there is nothing to fuel the mind and body to achieve the goals ... Why is powerful stuff!

You certainly made your point with the importance of WHY.
I used to drive my teachers nuts with my whys, starting in first class, Why is one plus one two??
I also had decades of philosophical misery asking about the WHYs in life and only when I finally stopped I gained tranquility ... without lessening my ambitions.
I agree with Steve, the most important instrument is the compass not asking for the WHY, especially in tough situations.
Just my thought, any takers?
