September Goals
I am starting my third month here at WA. I wanted to set some goals for myself and my site to be completed by the end of the month. Here they are:

- August Stats:
- Total visitors: 228
- Unique visitors: 79
- % of new visitors: 34.6%
- Pages/sessions: 5.85
- Page views: 1,334
- Average session duration: 8:31
- Bounce rate: 42.98%
- September Goal:
- Total visitors: 355
2. More social media followers
- August stats:
- Facebook: 5 likes
- Twitter: 121 followers
- Google +: 44 followers, 1,365 views
- Pinterest: 3 followers
- September Goals:
- Increase followers in all social media, concentrating on Facebook.
3. Rank in Google... on the FIRST PAGE! :)
4. Have a total of 65 PAGES and posts on my site. (Right now I have 52.)
Including:
- 2 new book reviews
- 2 new recommendations
- 4 new author biographies
- 4 new book release pages
5. Have at least ONE sale with Adsense or Affiliate Marketing links.
6. Research my competitors, and start commenting on a few different sites.
7. Create a "freebie" for my site that visitors can print out.
8. Find a way to make a flexible header so I can include my logo in banner.
9. Create a posting schedule to be more consistent.
10. Make new friends at WA!
I am going to print this out at look at it regularly to see if I am heading in the right direction. I also think that by posting it here it will be a bigger driving force for me to complete it. (Since it's all out there!)
Wish me luck my friends, for a successful September!
I wish all of you the best, and much success in the month of September and beyond!
Thanks for reading!

Wow, you are sure good a goal setting. Did you learn this or does goal setting come natural to you. I have always read about the value of goal setting but I just can't seem to get in a consistent habit of setting specific goals. I am highly motivated but setting realistic goals is hard for me. Suggestions?
Oh my gosh... My OCD is showing isn't it?! :0
I would say that goal setting comes naturally to me. I am an extremely stubborn, and as I mentioned... a tad OCD at times. I think that these two traits come together for me in a good way actually.
I write EVERYTHING down! Every single morning I write a list of things that I am going to accomplish that day. In fact this morning I wrote such a list, and it is very long as I have been a bit of a slacker this past weekend. I have everything on there! From doing laundry to little things like wiping down the counter... I have always done this.
I think that having it written down on paper is a great way to remember what is on my plate. And, oh the satisfaction when I get to cross something off!!! :)
Setting goals is a great way to see what you have accomplished! Whether it's my to-do list fully crossed off at the end of the day, or goals accomplished (or even almost accomplished) for my website... it all provides a great sense of success that keeps me going.
I definitely recommend that YOU try setting some goals! I can tell you that I wouldn't be as aware of what I actually accomplished last month if I hadn't written them down!
You need a base line on paper, so that you can see how much you have grown with time. It will inspire you to accomplish that and EVEN MORE in the months to follow!
Hope this helps you! Sorry for the long response... I'm known for getting a little carried away at times too! :)
