Getting Caught Up Behind the Scenes

So, I have almost completed Course 3, but I have found myself on hold for the last few weeks. I have been on a mission to get ranked and get some actual traffic to my site (not just my mother :). I am thinking that I am spending too much time researching in Webmaster Tools.

I now have Bing & Google Webmaster Tools linked to my site. For the past two days I have been studying what these tools do by reading everything on there. I am not really sure what I should be concerned with regarding those tools. I know I should create a site map and submit it to help getting indexed, but what else is important to do there?

All of my time recently was been spent behind the scenes... I have created NO NEW CONTENT for my site. :(

My goal this week:

• I am going to take a step back from trying to force some traffic to my site.

• I am going to focus all of my efforts into researching strong keywords and writing great content for my site.

Thanks for reading everyone! And thanks for all of the follows!

Terea knows, listen to her

Concentrate on content and let your site age a bit. This, along with excellent keywords will bring you traffic!

Thank you!

Welcome to the world of internet Marketing and website building, it can be so overwhelming sometimes, you will figure it all out eventually, but just like you said content is everything that's what people want and that's what Google wants

Thanks Barry!

You answered your own question. I think you are in a good position to reap the benefits of your content with the groundwork you have laid.

I hope you are right!
Thanks!

I, like you, have been working on behind the scenes and need to get back to content. Race you to Jaxxy!

Yes, it's definitely easy to get caught up in it! There is so much to learn, and so much worry that I'm missing something important. I just need to take a step back for a bit. :)
