Amazon account closure?
Amazon don't want to pay me!
I recieved a message from Amazon with the headline "Your Associates account is at risk of closure."
I have to give them a lot of information, this is the message I received with what they want to know:
Within five business days please provide a detailed description of the methods you are using to refer traffic to the Amazon Site by providing:
• A list of the Sites on which your Special Links or banner ads are posted,
• advertising services you are using,
• links to screenshots of your Site’s analytics tools that show your Site traffic and its sources,
• the keywords you are using to drive referrals,
• any plugins or browser add-ons you use,
• live links to your Sites,
• a sequence of links that allows us to duplicate the clicks the majority of your customers make to get to the Amazon Site via your Special Links, and
• any other information that would be relevant to confirming your compliance with the Operating Agreement, which can be found here: <https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/operating/agreement>.
This is the last line of the email:
If you do not respond with sufficient information within five business days, we will close your Associates account and withhold fees.
Withhold fees? So any money that I made, already $10, will disappear in the pockets of Amazon.
Thanks Amazon, I don't think I want to go on with you anymore!
I just have a banner on my site to Amazon, no paid traffic and no keywords are being used.
And I was just thinking of doing some more advertising for Amazon as I finally reached the $100 payout after almost 7 years.
As my traffic was going up, so is the traffic to Amazon and I make about $15 to $20 each month now.
But that will stop because Amazon is asking for information I don't have.
So it is clear that Amazon doesn't want to pay me!
Now you know how the owner of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, became the richest man in the world!
They make enough money but they refuse to pay their affiliates who help them getting more sales.
I already said in in my last blog: making money online is impossible for me because the whole internet is fuXXed.
If you want to make money online you have to become a spammer/scammer and you get away with everything.
You won't believe how many spam/scam emails I received and how many hours I spend to report it.
And the results are almost zero!
Many times I received a message from my report but never heard anything about the results.
Almost nothing is done about spammers and scammers.
In fact, if I clicked the spam link a week later, the website from the spammer/scammer was still online.
If you want to make good money online, you have to do things illegal or unethical.
Just have a look at Clickbank how many scam products they sell.
Is Clickbank closed for selling these scam products? NO WAY.
They get away with selling scam products over and over again and nothing is done about it.
In my next blog I will take Clickbank down because I have a lot more complaints about Clickbank, enough to write another long blog about them.
Anyway, promoting products from Clickbank is not a wise idea, especially in the make money online category as there are the most scam products to be found.
I was thinking of buying one of the products and change it a bit and sell it under a different name.
I am sure it will make me a lot of money as the owners are also making lots of money with it.
But, back to Amazon, I will save Clickbank for my next blog.
I will send Amazon the info they are asking for, but it might not be want they want to see.
As I said before, I don't use keywords or paid advertising, and there will be a big change that they are going to close my account.
If you have plans to promote Amazon, then better think twice before you start.
In fact, as Amazon got very low commissions, it is better to forget about promoting their products.
There are many better ways to make money, the best one is still to have your own product.
Many people will tell you that you have to keep the product up-to-date and deal with customer service, but take that with a grain of salt.
Many product owners don't answer messages and don't keep the product up-to-date but they are still making lots of money.
But now I first have to deal with Amazon and their stupid questions.
Amazon suddenly became a big NO-NO for me.

Omg! I just signed up with Amazon associates a little over a week ago. I hope this is not the case for everyone.
Is it possible that it's a scam email?
I'm truly sorry you're going through this, I hope it gets resolved soon.
All the best,
Melissa
Thank goodness!
I'm in Canada but if I'm not mistaking I was able to set the payment threshold to $10.
Thanks for reassuring me, I appreciate it. I love Amazon and deal with them all the time. Nothing through the associates program yet but Amazon as a company is wonderful, to me anyway.
I saw that you wrote that having an affiliate disclosure is required by law. I have an affiliate disclosure but it's similar to the privacy policy. It's a page instead of in the sidebar or in the posts, is that still acceptable?
I thought of a scam email also, but it was clearly from Amazon.
My affiliate name was in the email and the sender was Amazon.
I checked the source of the email to be sure.
After 10 years I just get treated like garbage by Amazon.
I can understand they must have rules, but this is ridicilous.
Well I'm very sorry you're going through this and I hope you get it sorted out.
All the best,
Melissa
I had a similar experience with Amazon. On Thanksgiving morning (US), I received an email they were cutting me off, citing I didn't have the appropriate disclosure near my links. Well, I moved on. I have found so many better affiliate programs since then. :) In my view, it just wasn't worth all the hassle with Amazon. Good luck to you!

Yes. Thanks for commenting. I have an affiliate disclosure page which included the Amazon disclosure with it. :)
