What's Your Take On Facebook Groups?
As we all know, there are millions of groups on Facebook, with ones in particular geared toward concepts like Affiliate Marketing, Work From Home, Passive Income, etc. Basically our bread and butter.
However, do you think these groups are really worth it when you are trying to find prospects. In other words, do you think that a sizeable amount of people who have joined these groups are in them because they are looking for opportunities, or are they mostly full of posts by members who are marketing their own opportunities?

I'm in one, but I don't participate much! I don't care for Facebook very much, but I should delve further into it!

Hi Alex, I dont know enough about FB groups. I do belong to a few marketing groups but for me its not useful for prospecting. Its more geared for groups that are connected to a specific affiliate marketing group. There they announce leaderboards that kind of thing. Announcements, team challenges, who made more money, etc. I did not find them useful. I got bored with it. Like you said its for people who do their own marketing programs. I find prospecting useful when doing fb ads, ppc ads, solo ads, youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, and lead generation ads. Targeted audience is the focus.
I need a lesson on social media as I just can't get to grips with how to use it. I read different things but the penny just won't drop.
I don't utilise any of them. Do you think a business page on Facebook is good? Are they easy to set up?
Hey Geoffrey, making a fan page is very easy, you follow the instructions on the page. I do have one but to be honest I get better results with Pinterest.
A mix of both I think. Both I believe that they can be useful for a focus group as well as benefiting from what you are offering
I guess it is about the way in which you go about marketing your business. Use of several questionnaires, strategies and techniques that will be used to cause them to be "hooked" to the concept that you are selling or talking about.
Alex, I haven't done these as yet. These are all my thoughts on your questions.
But, I guess I will first engage them in a free gift for a time( all depending what your niche is), or posed a challenge to get participants, get them engaged, and at the same time their interest will be piqued to want to know more

This is just my opinion. I am in a few blogging groups and for me, I get fresh eyes on my content, which helps with organic traffic. I don’t actively prospect in the groups, but because I don’t, they tend to come to me. Hope I’m making sense to you. Less is more.
