I need another day in the week.
Let me start by saying that I had ZERO idea of what I was getting myself into when I stumbled across WA. All I knew was that I was looking for a way to change the way I work. Reboot. Re-start, or something like that. I knew that I wanted to try and make money online (doesnt everyone) but I had no clue about where to start and how.
My background is varied to say the least but without boring anyone it involves running multiple bricks and mortar business that, whilst giving me a comfortable life has somehow managed to ensure that I spend most of my waking life working and less and less hours doing the tings that really matter (like spending time with my wife and kids)... and then there's the "staff" issue.
I would say that 99.9% of the grief in my life comes from having staff (and I have really, really good staff, most of whom I consider to be friends now btw). That being said, the constant micro management, delegation, ego massaging that goes on day in day out is beyong tiring, not to mention writing pay cheques at the end of the month, ha ha ha.
I think, more than anything I am seeking indepence from that responsibility. I want to make money without having to rely on someone else, manage someone else, and let's be brutally honest here - there are very few ways one can accomplish that in the offline world.
So, here I am. Around 6 weeks in. So far so good I believe. I could have been faster and gotten further forward but my offline business commitments are slowing me down. I am very busy at the moment and its hard to find the spare time but I am trying to make sure that I allocate at least a few hours a week (until things slow down) to undertake the training and build my site etc.
I spent the last 5 years working with an Australian sports brand - helping them launch in Europe and it exposed me to a side of the sports world I had never seen, from that I became very experienced in sports injury and recovery, so when it came to choosing my niche it was a no brainer.
To my surprise www.allsportsinjuries.com was available so I am building my content there.
I haven't started trying to monetize the site yet - that will come soon, so I havent seen any financial sucess yet. The content is very specific and technical so I am spending my time ensuring that its all correct before I approach the various affiliates I intend to collaborate with.
Its coming along nicely now and I am happy with what I am learning. I am surprised at how time consuimg everything is and especially how thorough the training is. So far I would say it's well worth it and I am finding the content and the community extreamly helpful.
From here I just plan to keep chipping away at the site, building more content and then working to create affiliate partnerships and revenue. I think my neich is THE definition of "narrow and deep" so it will be interesting to see how it converts financially. Obviously I plan to create more sites but... baby steps...
I really am learning a lot and it's fun... I wasnt expecting that part lol.

I know exactly what you mean - though I think if there were eight days in a week I'd probably fill up the extra one with work as well! Your site is looking good with plenty of content being added. I am only just starting my journey so you're well ahead of me but it's always good to meet somebody who is fairly new to the process. I've still got loads to learn but as you say the training is really thorough so I'm sure we'll both do well!

I could really do with an extra day a week, but sadly we only get that one week in every four years...
Im going to go off and look at your website, my son is an international junior tennis player and injuries are a way of life for us, so anything you suggest that will help will be excellent !
