How I Structured & Planned My Posts

Let me start off by saying that I am LOVING Wealthy Affiliate. I love how straight forward everything and how easy it is to follow. I'm literally making so much more progress now than I had done in years on my own.

But here's the deal I'm almost done with my Level 3 Online Entrepreneur Certification, and I'm just now completing Phase 1 of Affiliate Bootcamp. And in this time I have yet to learn about a real structure to creating posts. I'm sure it's coming later, but I just couldn't wait!

Finding my direction

In the beginning I found myself searching Jaaxy for what felt like hours adding more and more keywords to my saved lists, but not having any motivation to write. I knew that with my personality I needed some direction.

Here's what I did.

I thought about my big picture. How do I want my website to help others?

Instead of brainstorming different posts, topics or reviews I could write. I found that I could brainstorm in what ways I wanted to help. Now, my specific niche is focused on organic/natural baby care. But what really excites me about it is helping moms.

Helping them to make the best choices for their baby and their family. To make things easier for them, not harder. To inform, guide and encourage them during their pregnancy and first years.

From that brainstorm I noticed a pattern. That every idea I started to have on ways that I could help moms fit into three specific categories.

Keeping it Simple

#1 - Learn: This area dedicated to growing a moms understanding. You can't make a decision you really feel good about without having a general basis of knowledge.

#2 - Care: This area dedicated to physiological needs of mom and baby. This is where guides, reviews and more info will go around sleep, eating and stress.

#3 - Play: This is where the fun lives. This area is dedicated towards mental well being through connection, play, happy hormones and keeping things simple.

Moving Forward

I have been able to brainstorm all sorts of ideas for posts within each of these categories. Having just this slight bit of structure has helped me to feel like I am moving towards something more concrete. I can see my website 5 years down the line. I can see how I am going to help the moms that read my articles. I can see how I will be building trust in my community. I can feel the impact I can make.

The icing on the cake is the fact that this will ultimately lead to more links, more clicks and more money!

For those struggling with direction, try this method out and see if it works for you.

Fantastic Alena!

Jeff

Creating that structure and routine around the creation of content can be one of the most sustaining things we can do.

Everything we do today definitely builds a better tomorrow.

Great technique, Alena.
