To plugin or not to plugin
So, I have made it to Course 3! This is where getting commercial really starts - I have been looking forward to this from the very beginning!
This is also where it starts getting serious, meaning: at this stage you are getting your website ready to attract some audience.
And this is also where my lack of web building skills gets me into trouble! As a professional translator, I have been localizing ICT documents, online Help and software from English into Dutch for years; I am familiar with websites, privacy policies, admin, plugins, login, passwords, codes, and tags - the whole deal! Meaning: linguistically! LoL
I know the terminology, I can spell all these words and use them in perfectly translated sentences that everybody can read and understand.
But, arrrggghhh... I do not know how to work with plugins! I know how to localize text around code without breaking the code, but arrrgghhhh... I cannot write code!
Yesterday, I got stuck - seriously! My website was broken and I had to take it offline. I spent the entire day asking for help, wondering where my pictures went, why all of a sudden my full-screen content went half-screen, and how to use that darn plugin (here's that word again!).
Fortunately, I did get help! The community was there plus I had to take my issues to a higher level, and called upon SiteSupport and the theme developer. Boy, are they good! Fix after fix were promptly offered, and just after midnight my site was up and running again!
Today, I have been struggling with a plugin once more, and still arrrggghhh... stuck and asking for help!
It has been exactly two days short of a month since I started here at WA. Will I ever learn how to work those plugins?! I guess it is time for me to go Yearly?! :-)

Jawel, komt goed. Soms willen we gewoon te veel te snel.
Ik ben nog aan het werven, nog niet echt bezig met sales.
Wish you strength, success will follow!

I struggle with plugins too! I think it will take time to get the hang of it, but plenty of help from the community!
So, then you know what "Arrrggghhh" means? lol
Have a great day,
