Staying True to Yourself & Your Goals
Hello WA, I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving Holiday and for those outside the US hopefully you had a nice weekend.
At times I find it challenging to maintain a balance between what I think I want and I really need. What I really need will help me get to the next step of what I think I want. Or to put it differently what I think I want is the "carrot" and what I really need is a fit and reliable "horse & carriage".
I find that if I take care of the horse and carriage first the carrot will happen through my daily course of planning and taking action on my plans. If I just focus on the "carrot" many times my horse and carriage will break down leaving me with very few option, other than to start all over and hopefully get it right this time.
Staying true to myself really means, for me, to take care of myself first in terms of mind, body, family, and relationships. Easier said then done especially if the "carrot" starts to twinkle and flash, that's why balance is important.
Hope this helps those that are searching for inner balance and success.
Best Wishes .. .Alan

Those carrots with the sparkles always seem to divert my attention, Alan, lol.
All the best with maintaining your focus.
I also find that balance is important, in all aspects of life. I find that I can get most traction with things i want to do when the basic needs have been taken care of. I also find this gives me a better feeling of self satisfaction, than when things are in imbalance. Best Alan
