Travelling To The Emerald Isle
Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a great weekend!
My weekend was spent driving across Europe from Slovenia to France, and I am now waiting to obtain vizas for some colleagues before travelling to Ireland.
Ireland seems such a friendly country, but I had not realized that it is outside the Shengen Zone, so even though my colleagues have work permits for the European Union, that does not include Ireland, so vizas are needed.
In fact I had even planned to meet up with some bsuiness acquaintances in Northern Ireland tomorrow as well, so those meetings will have to be rescheduled.
Life is full of surprises, and I suppose we should have checked the small print before planning to travel.
One good thing is that I got an unexpected trip to the centre of Paris where the Irish Embassy is located.
I hope that all your weeks ahead go a lot smoother than mine has started!

I love Ireland Alan, I actually have more Irish blood flowing through my veins than English as my Mothers side of the family are from there!
From Slovenia you must have past pretty close to Lyon!
