Hi Everyone,

I hope you have had a successful week so far.

My work week has been frustrating, which is fairly normal for a week in property:-)

The Frustration

We have been waiting for the Specialised Supported Housing (SSH) Commissioner to make a decision about a building of ours that has been put forward for housing vulnerable or disabled people. A letter of support has been promised from the SSH Commissioner tomorrow, and I hope that it will be forthcoming.

This is the key to unlocking the scope and size and therefore the value of a property development that we are carrying out at the site. It seems that Local Authority matters run at a slower timescale to normal matters, and we have only been discussing this since October, so it will be excellent if we receive the promised letter tomorrow.

Without it we are unable to firm up the scope of the development and therefore the funding required to carry it out.

Investors need to have the business case proven for the development, and so tomorrow will be the biggest day of our week.

The Motivation

Tomorrow is also the start of Strategy Implementation Live, an in person and hybrid online event put on by the leading residential property trainer in the UK @SimonZutshi, whose PIN organization is the biggest property network in the UK, with 50 events at different locations in the UK, and 2 in the Netherlands.

I host one of these events in Portsmouth, Hampshire in the South of England, and our PIN meetings are held on the third wednesday of every month at the Holiday Inn Express, Farlington Portsmouth, and its a lively event for anyone interested to expand their knowledge about property, and meet peers who can help them along on their journey.

The great thing about the next 3 days is that Simon Zutshi helps you to achieve great steps forward for your business while you are in the room or if you are online. Simon really does motivate people to get stuff done, and encourages networking amongst all the attendees in the room and online. I am looking forward to the next 3 days being very active and that I can participate and make some great new connections with which to collaborate for the future.

I expect that by the end of the weekend I will be tired from the computer screen, but property is all about people, and the more people you can meet and engage with the better - Your Network Is Your Net Worth!
